Parody-meister, Paul Shanklin is a national treasure! No one could have anticipated the “Massachusetts Miracle” on Tuesday, but the election of Scott Brown drives final nail into Obamacare. What a magnificent outcome.

The reaction of Democrats in general was predictably counterintuitive… particularly that of Obama! Feigning understanding that the people were angry… the same anger which swept Brown into office, swept himself into office… anger at the Bush Administration. WHAT??!?! Let’s see if I “get” this. Citizens are angry at Bush, so they decisively elected a Republican? What is he smoking?!?!?! He further stated that he had been so busy “getting things done”, he had not communicated with the people?!?! Good Grief! He’s been talking nonstop…. omnipresent.. he made his case, over and over, and we rejected it! What’s his strategy…. more speeches!… maybe talking more slowly…small words..simple sentences, so we could maybe understand his complex, statist vision. WE GOT IT!

They think we’re stupid!!!! They would not admit error or assume responsibility, if their lives depended on it. Well, their political careers DO! The party’s over!

Between now and November, watch them carefully. They intend to raise the national debt ceiling by $1.9 TRILLION immediately, with no glimmer of intent to cut Federal spending. They are going to try to change the conversation by demonizing and declaring war on the banking industry. (that same industry to whom we LOANED billions to rescue, have been paid back with interest, and now face huge taxes and fees for becoming profitable) Note Fannie and Freddie are exempt… they’ve paid back nothing and are back at the trough! The other largest outstanding debt is that of GM and Crysler… to which TARP funds were misdirected, and of which govt is the majority owner.

Although Cap and Trade is dead, the power of the EPA to regulate CO2 emissions has not yet been stripped. The Administration will soon turn to Immigration reform. Obama HAS lost a great deal of his power, but until he loses his Congressional majorities, he’s still capable of doing further damage.

Oh! Hooray for the Supreme Court Decision on campaign finance! Not only does it allow corporations to participate in political campaigns, it is the death knell for the “fairness doctrine”! Must be noted that Obama appointed Judge Sotomayor was on the right side of the decision, in support of the First Ammendment. I applaud her opinion.
