This is the same the same august body that needed twenty-three resolutions to deal with Saddam Hussein. They were in fact completely impotent when it came to enforcing those resolutions on Saddam Hussein’s Iran. This group is made up largely of third world nations, despots and dictators that rarely vote in favor of proposals the U.S. backs.
It’s a place where our “ally,” France sold its vote in a promise not the attack for under the table oil contracts, greatly enriching those involved.
It is past time for the United States of America to pull out of the U.N. tell them to find new headquarters, possibly, Libya, where not long ago they chaired the committee on HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS.
It is high past time to let this organization go the way of another progressive, Woodrow Wilson’s League of Nations and slip quietly into the abyss. The US Taxpayer pays untold billions to this failed organization. While they have shown some limited success in humanitarian efforts, their roll a peace keepers has been marred with failure.
Should the Obama administration sign a UN treaty that would take away our rights under the Second Amendment, contrary to popular belief it can and will be rescinded. Remember, Bill Clinton signed such a treaty, President George W. Bush rescinded it.
Random thoughts while thinking about the absurdity of our current administration, and all progressive administrations willingness to destroy the Constitution they swore to protect, while stealing our liberty while attempting to force us to live in tyranny. It ‘ain’t gonna’ happen. J.C.
