How To Oust Tea Party Infiltrators & Provocateurs Instigating Violence

A very important read from a contributor to this site about organizing counter measures for dealing with members of CRASH The Tea Party and others that wish to disrupt, engage in unlawful behavior, ie. taunting, fighting, all to play to the media.

The columnist has participated in the protests in Belfast as well as those of the G-7 meeting is Seattle. Tea Party organizers would do well to consider his suggestions and develop a game plan to deal with those that choose to play to the images the media has already associated with these well meaning Patriots!  Random thoughts while observing the passing charade,   I’m J.C.

I previously wrote “Political Flyers” and designed some of the methods employed by lawful protester /activists in Ireland 1992-1995. The Tea Party activists are babes in the woods compared to the Socialist that appear intended to destroy them. It is my hope the information provided will help serve as a crash course to help Tea parties discover and distance themselves from Infiltrators & Provocateurs before they can destroy the Tea party Movement.

Jim, I was in Seattle in 2000 when those huge riots broke out. It appeared the anarchists were co-opted as police walked right by them when they were breaking things and started arresting innocent protesters.  It is my experience that if chaos/fights break out at the April 15th Tea Party protest, including fights with the opposition, most Tea Party people won’t stay around holding up signs as law abiding citizens they won’t fight, hopefully, the provocateurs will be singled out and dealt with by the police.

Consider how law-abiding protest groups in other countries have uncovered and distanced themselves from Infiltrators and Provocateurs instigating violence:

In Belfast, Northern Ireland between 1980-1995 Irish Catholics were inundated with British provocateurs whose mission was to marginalize the efforts of lawful Citizens at protests.

Provocateurs that joined with lawful groups appeared to be like everyone else, supporting the cause; and would attend meetings to spy on group members, then offer ideas to cause members to break the law; other provocateurs attending meetings would appear law-abiding sometimes offering constructive ideas; then suddenly one day without warning instigate violence at a protest, attacking the opposition at a protest with words, their signs or e.g., throwing rocks.

Lawful protest groups to counter the unexpected violence caused by Provocateurs in their midst or those in opposition groups at a protest, came up with the following counter measures: Law-abiding Protest groups appointed “Stewards” that monitored not only their own members but demonstrators in opposition groups at protests: ACTION TAKEN:

When it became apparent at a Protest, someone in their own group was instigating violence or causing confrontation with the opposition at a Protest, “Stewards” would blow a low pitch whistle; then immediately all group members not involved in violence or confrontation would quickly distance themselves many feet from the lawbreakers forming a tight circle, sometimes holding hands, to block out the “instigator” or “Provocateur” from returning or entering their law-abiding circled of Citizens. Meanwhile “Stewards” as a matter of operation always carry a video camera to tape for the record, that their law-abiding members immediately distanced themselves from an “instigator” that caused confrontation or violence. That videotape might be needed later to prove who was and who wasn’t involved in violence. A copy of that videotape might also be provided to the press to expose a provocateur or to marginalize political opposition that employed the provocateur.

Keep in mind, that a Provocateur in a group of law-abiding protesters might individually start a fight against a fellow group protester or with another protester also a Provocateur—from either side—to cause arrests; in which case the “steward” would blow the whistle for law-abiding group members to immediately separate, distancing themselves from all confrontational persons in the manner described above. Subsequently a protest group will have to sort out whether a violent instigator in their group, is a Provocateur.

Tea Party members need to have a plan in advance of April 15th protests that includes a place which they will all immediately retreat should violence or serous confrontation take place; and it should be decided in advance what persons in the Tea Party will be responsible for giving the command to retreat. Considering how big the April 15th Tea party demonstrations might be, especially when you add the leftists that vowed to crash the event, Tea party members might consider using a special horn to alert Tea Party members to immediately retreat if necessary, to a predetermined designated area. Certain Tea Party People might be designated to bring video cameras to fill everything in that regard. Police would have difficulty arresting law-abiding Tea Party members that immediately distanced themselves from others instigating violence. News reporters would have a problem not reporting that.
