U.S. Government failure on nuclear proliferation how can Washington be so out of touch?

by Jim Campbell

Ode to the WikiLeaks  fiasco

In today’s Family Security Matters, Peter Huessy, Ph.D.  details just how serious the Iranian and North Korean threats have become and how America simply has no choice than to completely reverse course and make a stand against these enemies of the United States.

Dr. Huessy is President of his own defense consulting firm, PRH&CO, and its subsidiary, GeoStrategic Analysis, both founded in 1981. For ICBM Associates, Huessy has served as the key congressional and legislative adviser since 1981.

Dr. Huessy prepares weekly reports for the group, sent to congress on ICBM activities in and outside of government, including arms control, proliferation, long range precision strike, conventional prompt long range strike, nuclear deterrence and nuclear strategic modernization.

It seems obvious  United States leadership has not been paying much attention to this input, a violation of their Constitutional Oath to ‘defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.’

President George W. Bush called Iran and North Korea part of the “axis of evil,” during his 2002 State of the Union speech. The Left in America began their predictable hand wringing and whining, while angry responses were also received from around the world.

The Lame Duckers Are Back

Obama’s and his lame duck congress what to expect

The jury’s out on whether President Barack Hussein Obama has it in him to switch from a far left socialist ideologue, and use the strategy that worked so well for former, President William Jefferson Clinton.  After all isn’t politics supposed to be the art of compromise?

A number of things are certain. Obama’s attitude, “I won,” and refusing to have serious negotiations with the opposition party will not be productive.

Conspicuously absent was any meaningful dialogue on the health care debate. Of course there was the “Health Care Summit, a charade to give the Obama administration the appearance of reaching across the aisle.

Do TSA methods provide security that is safe effective and legal?

by Jim Campbell

On August 17, 2006 U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor of Detroit, in a case filed by the ACLU, struck down the NSA warrantless wire-tapping program, which she said violates the rights to free speech and privacy.

This program had been put in place by the administration of President George W. Bush following the devastating events resulting from the attack on U.S. soil on 9-11.

The TSA has never demonstrated their technology or approach to be safe or effective. Anecdotal reports indicate TSA employees now have an extremely higher satisfaction level with their jobs new.

In July 2007, the 6th Circuit court overturned that decision. The ACLU asked the Supreme Court of the United States to consider the ruling, but in February 2008, the Court declined to review the challenge.

Thankless in Obamaland

SultinKnish

This is one Thanksgiving weekend which finds Americans with little to be thankful for. The economy is sliding badly and the dollar is endangered, which could potentially wreck the nation’s economy long after Obama is gone. Flying was a more unpleasant experience due to the TSA’s aggressive insistence on harassing American fliers, rather than Muslim terrorists. Then there’s the worldwide chaos, which now threatens to open up a whole new war in Asia.

Obama meets with a different breed of Turkey

With a political beating in the midterm elections and a confused administration, even liberals seem to have little to be politically thankful for. But even mentions of Thanksgiving seem inevitably accompanied by historical revisionism which reduces the contact between specific groups of European settlers and certain Indian tribes to a one-sided narrative whose goal is to delegitimize the very existence of the United States. Everyone from PETA to indigenous activists to Michelle Obama’s fat insanity has tried to have a go at it.

Were attacks by North Korea the result of bungled diplomacy by Hillary Clinton?

by Jim Campbell

Doing the bidding of President Barack Hussein Obama, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton may have sent the wrong message to South Korea, as the United States appeared to backpedal on the sinking of a South Korean vessel, Cheonan.

Was this seen by North Korea as further weakness by the United States in dealing with a rogue nation led by the dictator Kim Jong Il?  Was this the reason the North launched a barrage of missiles upon the South last week?

As Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates met in Seoul with their Republic of Korea (ROK) counterparts Yu Myung-hwan and Kim Tae-young in an historic “2+2″ summit, the Cheonan sinking in March, the defining crisis that was supposed to highlight the relevance and effectiveness of their relationship, instead cast an ugly shadow over the event.

Al-Qaida Threats Cause Rise in Security Level

The TSA’s False Tradeoff

Mises Institute

by

The national furor over the TSA’s new procedures — culminating in yesterday’s “Opt Out Day” — has elicited the typical response from the bureaucracy and its apologists. Why, these invasive scans and “enhanced pat-downs” are only for your good, in order to ensure safe flying. You don’t want another attack, do you?

This is a false tradeoff. Especially in the long run, there is no tension between freedom and safety. If airport security were truly returned to the private sector, air travelers would achieve a much better balance of privacy and legitimate security measures.
