Taxation without representation observations on START

by Jim Campbell

In yesterday’s column, No RINO left behind it became very clear that those the American electorate send to Washington on both sides of the aisle don’t have the Constitution or the American people in mind as they play their political games.

Of the legislation passed during the lame duck session could there be a bigger issue needing full discussion by the entire congress than the unlikely read, yet passed Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty?  (START)

This bill should have been filibustered from the beginning.

What conceivable reason could or should the countries ‘elected officials’ be even thinking about limiting any of the U.S. arsenals when China is known to have developed missile technology capable of sinking U.S. Aircraft carriers.

No RINO Left Behind

by Jim Campbell

Looking back on what was destined to be a lackluster lame duck session, with the help of misguided RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) the Democrats accomplished arguably more in the three-week period than they accomplished in the prior two years.

This begs the question, are RINOs really Republicans? Are they progressives in drag? Did they fail to hear the messages voters sent so very loud and clear on November 2nd?

This is left to conjecture.  The legislation they voted for with Democrats will be discussed with all names exposed.

First it must be clarified that Mitch McConnell and Ms. Lindsey Graham, today clearly out front of the conservative movement are RINOs from deep within their DNA.

McConnell failed to show the leadership to mount a filibuster against Elena Kagan; letting her obfuscate her way through the hearings with no serious challenge to her absurd comments.  Thank you Mitch for another progressive you helped add to the bench.

Republicans showed serious errors in judgement compromising on Omnibus budget bill

by Jim Campbell

In the good ole days it was called ‘horse trading,’ after all, politics is the art of compromise.

Ostensibly, Republicans caved in to assure that most of the Bush era tax cuts would be kept in place.  On the face what’s not to like?  Perhaps an analysis is due.

This is certainly a law that would have fallen under the ‘read it before you sign it to find out what’s in it,’ thank you Nancy Pelsoi.

Had lawmakers done so they would have found some very interesting, o.k. disgusting sausage making.

Canada alerts U.S in 2010 report of their unsustainable medical system

by Jim Campbell

Yesterday, the International Monetary Fund issued a report; “Canada’s Health Care Unsustainable-Be Careful What You Wish For.”

The United States Democratic Congress passed Health Care legislation labeled Obama Care, with much fanfare in 2009. There were many of  President Obama’s bases constituents that were disappointed that a public option was dropped.  Based on the IMF’s report on Canada, perhaps they should be careful what they wished for.

The International Monetary Fund, based in Washington was warned that Canada’s Health Care costs are unsustainable. In it’s report it warned that Canada’s Federal and Provincial governments have not been honest about the real costs of universal health care and those costs will swarm Canadian budgets in the future.

Inside the world of psychological warfare, PSYOPS and how it is used on America an its enemies

by Jim Campbell

With the incredible amount of information and disinformation coming from the current administration with its immediate circulation on the Internet and blogosphere; we must ask ourselves, is PSYOPS being used on America?
Mind Control The Ultimate Terror
five Taliban fighters in a cave about to eat a meal laid out on a rug. In the background a “smart bomb” is seen falling near the cave entrance. The text is:

Al-Qaida do you think you are safe…

The back of the leaflet shows three Taliban soldiers with their eyes wide open in fear, the cave entrance blocked with rubble. The text is:

…in your tomb?

Psychological Operations are activities designed to convey selected information and indicators to specific foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals. The purpose of psychological operations is to induce or reinforce attitudes and behaviors favorable to the originator’s objectives.

Sarah Palin has the press both political parties and the media unhinged over her probable primary run

Yesterday, the Oregonian featured an editorial and excellent hit piece called, “ A prediction for 2012: Sarah Palin will toss her hat into the ring.”  The article written by featured columnist, Todd Huffman, a Eugene, Oregon pediatrician was entertaining to say the least.

Sadly for Dr. Huffman, virtually everything he wrote about Governor Palin cannot be factually proven.  Huffman is quite the dilettante writing on a plethora of topics. When he veers to his obsession, the need to assassinate the character, background and education of Sara Palin perhaps his time would be better spent in his office taking care of sore throats and ear aches.

Katie Couric made a big mistake giving Condollezza Rice a revisionist history lesson on Iraq

by Jim Campbell

What in the world must have Katie Couric and her producers on CBS been thinking when they let her loose on former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice?  Did they think she could convince the former secretary there was no rationale for going to war with Iraq when weapons of mass destruction were not found?

Can there be any wonder why CBS’s plunging ratings and Ms. Kouric’s are coming close to that of FOX News, which clobbers all other cable news providers, combined?

With poise and dignity Ms. Rice did her best not to embarrass Ms. Kouric when a lesser woman might have jumped up on prime time and slapped the white off of “cutsie Katie’s” face.  No the professional and dignified woman she is, she allowed Katie to further bury herself and with it the networks ratings.
