OCR or Optical Character Recognition Software is not used for what this “expert” claims. I’ve searched his credentials, Jean-Claude Tremblay is an expert if his bio is accurate.
The software is used for character recognition and would not be used in this case to make a determination of the illegitimate way the certificate was made. It could read the characters on it not deconstruct the apparently fraudulent new document.
The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, saying the document is “proof positive” the president was born in Hawaii. Big problem as the video clearly demonstrates OCR software could not have been used to determine authenticity.
So if we have this right, one Obama fan comes up with a strange explanation for why the new certificate is not a fake when now a least ten other experts have shown Photo Shopped layers and how the form was put together.
Perhaps the story was written to provide cover for the over opinionated Bill O’Reilly? The plot thickens………….

It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.
But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.
The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.
But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.
“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.
Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.
“When you open it in Illustrator it looks like layers, but it doesn’t look like someone built it from scratch. If someone made a fake it wouldn’t look like this,” he said.“Some scanning software is trying to separate the background and the text and splitting element into layers and parts of layers.”
Tremblay also said that during the scanning process, instances where the software was unable to separate text fully from background led to the creation of a separate layer within the document. This could be places where a signature runs over the line of background, or typed characters touch the internal border of the document.
“I know that you can scan a document from a scanner most of the time it will appear as one piece, but that doesn’t mean that there’s no software that’s doing this kind of stuff,” he said, adding that it’s really quite common.
“I’d be more afraid it’d be fake if it was one in piece. It would be harder to check if it’s a good one if it’s a fake,” Tremblay said.
I’m not certain they want us to drop it why else would such a botched job be put forth. More going on her, more in the line of diversion. This is gong to go down in my opinion as a criminal matter. J.C.

I think you may have picked a different hospital. Interestingly, I know I have on my blog some where and announcement by the hospital he was born there, then it was retracted. J.C. – lets face it. The issue is no longer the legitimacy of the Birth Certificate, it is now an issue of embarrassment and humility. There is such an effort to win the “I told you so” argument and not focus on the real issue at hand it is shameful.
We argue among ourselves just like the Socialists want us to argue. We are falling right into their trap – and (again) it is our own fault.
When we have drafted Articles of Impeachment on the floor of the House ready for debate and vote we waste our precious time and energy on lost causes as this. When you ask how did our nation get into the condition it is in at this time … just look around.
It is rather strange to have a birth certificate with a hospital name different from what the hospital was actually named. Almost too easy to spot. I for one, do not think this is merely a diversion. I believe it is an outright fraud that says “I dare you to challenge this.” Obama seems to enjoy doing things that go against our Constitution and Bill of Rights, and go completely against the people’s wishes. It seems deliberate to show a fake birth certificate and make fun of everyone who calls it fake and then show another fake & does the same thing……Just like taking our military into a war that was not authorized by Congress and was not a threat to our country in any way. We point it out and nothing happens. When he signed the bill for ObamaCare, he walked out amidst a hundred thousand protestors carrying signs saying “Kill the Bill” and he smiled and said “The Health Care Bill has passed. I listened to the people.” WHAT?
Somewhat indicative of Sociopathic behavior. … or at the very least, childish. Next I expect him to say ‘nananananana’.
We can just wait for his next move……..and then ignore that too – no matter how much it goes against our country, Constitution and values. It has reached a level where this Administration can do whatever they choose. Sometimes admitting it and sometimes denying – it’s still not representative of a president who’s put into the White house by the people, to defend & protect.
We have no Dept Of Justice for the majority. We can be intimidated and threatened and the DOJ says, “no matter what was done to us, it was not as bad as what was done to black people in the past.” Are we supposed to live in the past so we can ignore today?
Please God, remove this man and his administration from our White house so we can return to being the country that others looked up to, with principles, honesty and humanity. I can barely remember when American citizens slept peacefully and awoke happily because we knew we were free.
There was a claim that the original file was replaced, but I donwloaded it tonight and extracted the three layers with Adobe Pro7. Same file size, same content, same format.
OCR has nothing to do with it; there is no text layer, its all composed of images. Try to extract text from it with Adobe10, it can’t be done! They did not implement text recognition when they created the pdf.
Two vital points:
1. alteration invalidates the cert. Obliterating the serial is an alteration to the short form. The editing they did to the long form is alteration, too.
2. Neither cert. bears the embossed seal of the state health dept. That means they are forgeries, not the real deal. See graphic proof in my blog post.

Got an email Monday where the guy takes the birth certificate directly from the White house website and takes it apart…
I take everything with a grain of salt and enjoy looking into stuff claimed as Gospel. Well, this one was a no-brainer for me because I use Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat Pro all day long, 5 days a week. I started to watch the video of the step by step ‘layering’ of the PDF but didn’t even get half way through it. I couldn’t wait to see for myself. I went to the White House web site, downloaded the PDF file of the “birth certificate”, opened it in Acrobat Pro then in Illustrator and proceeded to take it apart, layer by layer. IF this was an actual PDF of an ACTUAL birth certificate from way back (before Adobe existed), I would not be able to do what I did. The dates and signatures were NOT part of the original document and were added in Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Kindergarten stuff.
No crime is perfect but this was a huge blunder. Or was it…?? Could it be that the White House Graphic Designer ‘forgot’ to “flatten” the image? Nah, way too ridiculous to believe. More plausible is that the White House Graphic Designer has a conscience and probably needs protection about now.
This was so fun. It made my day. I only wish it had taken me longer than a couple minutes.
