Justice Officials in ‘Panic Mode’ as Hearing Nears on Failed Anti-Gun Trafficking Program

by Jim Campbell

Before this reporter shows you government gone horribly wrong the reader must be aware of pending gun legislation that will surely be coming to a blue state near you.

It’s with no irony that the wizards in the California Senate Public Safety Committee sided with the anti-gun extremists and passed Assembly Bill 144, the open carry ban bill, by a 4 to 2 vote yesterday.  This bill now goes to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Yes absolutely let’s follow the UN they have an outstanding record on human rights and personal liberty

California is already bankrupt, but sees no problem creating law that will ultimately end up in the Supreme Court.  Can they afford such waste of the CA voters tax dollars?

In their infinite lack of wisdom  should the bill pass and be signed into law by Governor Brown, it will force people who which to carry to do so in a concealed manner, the only one who get a free ride are the murderers, muggers, rapists and thieves.  They could care less about those who control the lives and freedom of the citizens of CA, Second Amendment be damned.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. ans I approve this message.

Officials at the Department of Justice are in “panic mode,” according to multiple sources, as word spreads that congressional testimony next week will paint a bleak and humiliating picture of Operation Fast and Furious, the botched undercover operation that left a trail of blood from Mexico to Washington, D.C.

The operation was supposed to stem the flow of weapons from the U.S. to Mexico by allowing so-called straw buyers to buy guns legally in the U.S. and later sell them in Mexico, usually to drug cartels.

Instead, ATF documents show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms knowingly and deliberately flooded Mexico with assault rifles. Their intent was to expose the entire smuggling organization, from top to bottom, but the operation spun out of control and supervisors refused pleas from field agents to stop it.

Only after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry died did ATF Agent John Dodson blow the whistle and expose the scandal.

“What people don’t understand is how long we will be dealing with this,” Dodson told Fox News back in March. “Those guns are gone. You can’t just give the order and get them back. There is no telling how many crimes will be committed before we retrieve them.”

But now the casualties are coming in.

Mexican officials estimate 150 of their people have been shot by Fast and Furious guns. Police have recovered roughly 700 guns at crime scenes, 250 in the U.S. and the rest in Mexico, including five AK-47s found at a cartel warehouse in Juarez last month.

A high-powered sniper rifle was used to shoot down a Mexican military helicopter. Two other Romanian-made AK-47s were found in a shoot-out that left 11 dead in the state of Jalisco three weeks ago.

The guns were traced to the Lone Wolf Gun Store in Glendale, Ariz., and were sold only after the store employees were told to do so by the ATF.

It is illegal to buy a gun for anyone but yourself. However, ATF’s own documents show it allowed just 15 men to buy 1,725 guns, and 1,318 of those were after the purchasers officially became targets of investigation.

Arizona gun store owners say they were explicitly told by the ATF to sell the guns, sometimes 20, 30, even up to 40 in a single day to single person.

And those orders, from at least one ATF case agent, are on audio recording.

“We would say, ‘Do you (the ATF) want us to stop selling, is there something we should do here?'” Brad DeSayes, owner of J&G Gun Sales in Prescott, said. “And they would say, ‘No, no, no, keep selling – just tell us after the fact.'”

Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, holds a hearing Wednesday into Operation Fast and Furious.

The hearing is billed as “Reckless Decisions, Tragic Outcomes,” and the following are among the details expected in testimony:

- The ATF allowed and encouraged five Arizona gun store owners to sell some 1,800 weapons to buyers known to them as gun smugglers.

- It installed cameras inside the gun stores to record purchases made by those smugglers.

- It hid GPS trackers inside gun stocks and watched the weapons go south on computer screens.

- It obtained surveillance video from parking lots and helicopters showing straw buyers transferring their guns from one car to another.

- It learned guns sold in Phoenix were recovered only when Mexico police requested “trace data,” which is obtained from their serial number.

The first witness in Wednesday’s hearing is Sen. Charles Grassley, who will describe what his investigative team learned from four months of interviews and thousands of documents. He will be followed by three members of Brian Terry’s family, three ATF agents and Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich, who only months ago insisted the agency did not let guns go south to Mexico, a claim contradicted by field agents in Group 7, the actual agents who ran the operation in Phoenix.

  1. We can only hope this bring the DOJ and Holder with it. Unreal what goes on, does anyone tell the truth anymore. Makes me sick

  2. Shirley Brinker

The Justice Department and the President should be very scared. This administration does the most ridiculous and dangers more than any other Administration ever did. I hope Holder is held accountable and I think Obama would have had to approve that also so I hope he is held accountable also. This makes me sicke also.

  3. Obama not concerned at all it seems. He’s busy entertaining the Gabonese Dictator in the WH! A Brutal, murdering thug from Gabon. Now what business might our POTUS have with someone of this caliber? Holder is only the tip of the iceberg that needs to go. Each day these anti-Americans are allowed to pose as our leaders is a day closer to our Free, Democratic Republic regressing back to Tyranny! Hope Darrell Issa will take this one home!

  4. The words to describe this irresponsible and horrific ‘plan’ escapes me. What I want to say cannot be printed here.
If EVER there were faces and names to put next to ‘DOMESTIC ENEMIES’, those ATF’s Officials who came up with and forced others to carry out this plan are those faces and names!
For all the innocent people killed, being killed, and who will be killed by ATF’s guns…for Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry…for the families of all these victims…for the now-increased threat to our national security…I do pray that these officials are arrested, tried for Treason and EXECUTED IMMEDIATELY!

If they can’t find anyone to conduct the execution, I VOLUNTEER! No pay needed!

  5. CARRYING A GUN,
There are a bunch of pros and cons about carrying a gun , The first question to ask yourself is would you be willing to use it without hesitation. and that means your gun is loaded and ready to go. So if you chose a hand gun that’s double action you will not have a safety or worrier about or cocking it , point and pull. and know without aiming where that bullet went
The concept of open carry of an un-loaded gun is by definition NUTS you just gave a gun to a bad guy.
One of my biggest hang ups about carrying is its clumsy and heavy and starts down a road of escalation, Gun, ammo, Holster ,lazar ,extra magazines , where do you end ? body armor ?
ask any cop how fast he can run with his chicken plate and pistol belt on.
Guns are a great equalizer and even more effective if it seemed to come out of thin air.
Owning a gun should be between you and the gun and absolutely nobody’s business.

  6. TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE,,FROM THE ATF TO THE DOJ…LINE EM UP,,,GIVE EM A GOOD ASS KICKIN &THEN DEPORT THOSE PUKES TO SOMALIA,,,DONT FORGET TO WEAR YOUR STEEL TOES

  7. HEY ATF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • So does Obama ask Larry Sinclair, and what about the Department of Injustice along with Eric the pot holder? You are not starting to slip on me are you Dano? LOL Thanks, J.C.

  8. In my opinion, scandals alone will not bring down Obamination. No single scandal can do it. We need to offer a positive alternative: liberty, limited government and free market capitalism. Anything less won’t cut the mustard.

    • Bringing a positive agenda won’t bring him down, we aren’t talking about a scandal we are talking about more scandals and Constitutional breeches than any person in history. I agree the Republican that runs for president must go for what their plan is to provide the change to get back to where we were before the fools elected the fool. What does Obama have to run on?

  9. While the ATF is busy kicking in doors in the USA on Legal U.S. citizens and restricting gun ownerships by Legal, Law Abiding U.S. Citizens, they are also, under the Obama Administration’s ATF, allowing tens of thousands of Assault Rifle and Ammo to get in the hands of Illegal Alien Gun and Drug Runners and cross with them into Mexico. And, this is official government and ATF policy. Agent Terry, a border guard, was gunned down with an AK-47 which the ATF supplied the Drug Cartels with. Obama and Eric Holder have the Blood of U.S. Border Patrols and other law-abiding U.S. Citizens on their hands and they should be held 100 percent accountable for their Lawless and Reckless and Tyrannical Actions.

  10. Yet one more example of the recklessness and incompetence of an official U.S. Government Agency. Every single problem we have in the USA today is as a direct result of the Federal Government Bureaucracy. 80 percent of the Federal Agencies, Bureaus, Commissions, and Departments need to be abolished in their entirety and leave all such functions as they now mismanage to the local and state governments. The ATF is just a microscopic view of the entire federal bureaucracy which is incompetent, wasteful, inefficient, despotic and costs taxpayers hundreds of billions and trillions annually to fund these worthless federal bureaucracies which do nothing good and in fact, all these agencies do more harm than good, and any problem they were ostensibly were created to solve, will automatically worsen and grow as the agency grows in size and power and in order to keep their funding and power ever increasing, they have to insure that the Problems Grow In Size as well and when Problems are not growing fast enough, these Agencies Create New Problems on Purpose as in Purposely allowing tens of thousands of Assault Rifles and Pistols into the Hands of Drug Cartels and Murderers from South of The Border. Yet, one more Federal Sting Operation that Failed and if Somebody’s heads do not roll, Every Legal American Citizen Should Rise up and Say Down With The Obama Regime Now. We cannot let this story and this case Go Cold.

    • Excellent I agree totally. Just think if they weren’t government agencies and those deemed actually needed (I can’t think of any right now) were done by private enterprise the tax payer would pay only for the work, not the person’s retirement and health care for life, also the worker would actually pay real income tax compared with the tax he pays which was extorted from us in the first place. Thanks Greyhawk, great comment, J.C.
