OBAMA TAX: Medical Device Maker to Eliminate 1,200 jobs

Folks it’s time to get rid of the entire administration and completely decimate the party of the donkey in 2012.  They don’t seem to get the concept that by employing people in private sector positions, federal taxes are paid, payroll taxes are paid, as well as contributions to Social Security and Medicare.

Progressive policy once again forces a company to leave the United States while shipping  jobs to China.  What’s not to like?

Future recipients of Obama’s Social Justice Policy and complete cluelessness on the value of private sector jobs.

It’s really that simple fools, keep shooting yourselves in the foot enough times and we won’t have to wait for the election.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

Obama will never be able to say he wasn’t warned, and by two dead guys the won’t be registering as democrats….Humm..Let me think about that.

Boston Scientific Corp. said yesterday that it plans to eliminate 1,200 to 1,400 jobs worldwide during the next 2 ½ years to free money for new investments, the Natick medical device maker’s second major round of cuts since last year.

Yesterday’s move, a day after Boston Scientific disclosed it was investing $150 million and hiring 1,000 people in China, raised fears that the company will gradually shift more work to foreign sites with less government oversight and lower costs than the United States.

Boston Scientific officials said the latest job cuts, which will involve layoffs and leaving open positions vacant, are part of a broader effort to save between $225 million and $275 million annually. That will enable the company to invest in new products and geographic markets as growth flattens in the United States and other Western countries.

  1. More unemployment due to Obama regulations. By the time he is done those of us working aren’t going to want to because the taxes that they will steal will be huge. This is sickening and if we had a president who cared he would be working to change things. Guess he off playing golf again, wasting time and money as ususal.

  2. That’s we he will be extracted in January 2013 if not way before. He’s a Marxist thug.

  3. Questionman

I don’t like Obama, but I hate the racist scum who calls him a Marxist!

Fact of the matter is, that for all his pretty words on the campaign trail, Obama is a resolute centerist. And unfortunately the center these days has migrated to someplace to the right of Ronald Reagan. I am very, very depressed at the way we’re throwing our seniors and vulnerable populations to the wolves here. I can’t decide which is worse: The debt plans I’ve seen from both sides, which contain way too many cuts, with way too few revenue increases, or the prospect of our debt interest being paid, instead of Social Security, military wages, and help for our schools and the sick. You are a Racist, bigoted scum!

I hope and pray that China takes over all of these American Companies that continue to take jobs over to China…sooner rather than later.

  5. Yo Questionman, are you calling me racist scum? Let’s see nationalizing banks, the auto industry both of which have not paid back the tarp funds, killing the oil industry and seeing that it moves to Brazil to help his asshole buddy Soros and Petrobras, yes now 4 billion has been given to a company that pulls in 100 billion in net profits a year. Oh yes, hijacking 17% of the economy with his blown national health care proposal and you call me racist scum? Send me your address asshole and I’ll drop by and slap the white off your face. Now go crawl under the rock you have been living under the past two and one half years lemming.

  6. In reading this I take it you are black, yep black, not a fucking African-American so I’d also be quite happy to slap the black off your face I wonder what color you would be?

  7. Let them turn them into slave who give a rats ass, actually there won’t be many workers, just management initially they could be held as hostages until we pay the Chines back their debt. It’s a sad day in deed when you start liking the Chinese better than the current administration. But what’s the difference the are both communists.

Arguments like this, though the seem popular in some circles, undermine any legitimate criticism you may have when this much rhetoric is put into play. In the U.S. the fallout from the 2008 financial meltdown persists. Long-term unemployment included in the official U.S. unemployment rate of 9.1% announced on June 3 is the highest since the Great Depression. Last year Obama denounced any idea that this intractable, permanent level of unemployment should be accepted as “the new normal,” yet now the whole political agenda has turned to deficit reduction, with Republicans threatening a self-induced debt default crisis, unless they can punish U.S. workers with more cuts.

Obama fervently believes in political solutions to the crisis, but political practice has been reduced, not just to begging the German chancellor not to push the world economy into another crash, but also to a “jobs” program of begging U.S. businesses to “get in the game” instead of sitting on their cash hoard of $1.9 trillion.

By the way, I’m black, but not stupid!

  9. Thus us another if the predicted consequences that were ignored by the committees.

I td an investor group in December of 2009 that the tax on device manufacturers alone would have at least two catastrophic effects:

1.) it would raise prices at least 70% perhaps 130%.
2.) it would kill investment and jobs in device msg companies as none of their cash flows assumed a 35% tax rate and they are marginal anyway.

Both have proved true. Investing is way down in
this segment, jobs are reducing and costs are skyrocketing.

  10. Thanks Thomas, I haven’t kept up with the investment in various industries per se, spent 31 years in the pharmaceutical industry your comments are appreciated. J.C.

  11. Thanks for the sense of humor, you come here calling names I usually let it slide, let’s say you caught me when I wasn’t ready to listen to your name calling. Ok you are black, but you still don’t get it, and I’m the farthest thing from a racist you will ever meet. Went to school with black kids my entire life. That was just the way it was, nothing forced, you know what we called blacks back then? People….we were a color blind nation at least in my little town in CA. Perhaps if your are a baseball fan you might remember the name Doc Ellis, I played against him since little league. He of course made the majors with the Pirates, the Yankees, and the San Diego Padres. He was an alcoholic, a cocaine addict, and it shortened his career by his admission by 5 years minimum. I thank God we stayed in touch all these years and I followed his situation because I talked to him two days before he passed away from liver failure in Apple Valley CA. Doc had the same laugh when we were kids. As kids he would say to me, “What is wrong with you Niggah?” It was I believe at the time a term of friendship. You may call me White Boy or Honkey, both work. You are certainly welcome her, enjoy yourself. What’s your name soulstraw? I’m Jim or J.C.

  12. Shirley Brinker

Obama wants to destroy jobs and the eononomy of this country, I think. He is a Muslim and wants to destroy the economy so the U.S. is weak and he thinks his Muslim buddies can force us to accept Sharia Law and that we will not have money to defend ourselves. He is also a communist/socialist and would like to destroy the economy on those grounds also.

  13. Wonder if any of the US companies that are investing billions of dollars in China have given any consideration to the possibility that one day , China may decide to ‘nationalize’ those companies. Just a thought.
