Of course Romney would bolt when asked to sit down using this format which shows the candidates substance rather than his slickness. Haven’t we had enough slick with Obama?

When Newt finally receives the Republican Nomination he has promised the challenge Obama to six such debates.  Trust me, Obama will be on vacation.

The question we must focus upon in the up coming debate is do we want a many who is certainly more conservative, or a many that spent his 12 years as not much more that a deal maker and salesman for BAIN Capital?   You want slick go with Mitt he can be anybody man as they picture below shows he will say anything to anyone to get their vote.

If Willard “Mitt Romney” was such a great governor why was he unelectable for a second term. People with his ego don’t give up power, the numbers showed he would not win.  That certainly brings new meaning to the saying, When the going gets tough the tough get going.”

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

With the Republican presidential primary appearing to have narrowed into a two-man contest, Human Events and Red State moved quickly to lock down a date for a Lincoln-Douglas-style debate between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.

The two organizations went so far this past Monday as to firm up the Annenberg Theater at the Newseum in Washington as the venue on Dec. 19 after another debate originally scheduled that day was canceled. For its part, the Newseum was excited to host the pre-primary forum.

There was just one problem. While Gingrich was ready to take his place on the stage, the Romney campaign politely declined in a series of mostly e-mail exchanges.

As Joe Guerriero, publisher of Human Events and Red State, put it to RCP: “Newt was all over it, and the Romney camp basically said no. It wasn’t a harsh no, but it was a no.”

A Gingrich spokesman confirmed to RCP that the candidate was interested and accepted the invitation, but a Romney spokeswoman didn’t return a request for comment.

Guerriero explained that the impetus for the debate was this: Romney has long been presumed to be the nominee. But with Gingrich surging in the polls, why shouldn’t the Republican base get a chance to see the two top candidates go toe-to-toe?

“No disrespect to any of the other candidates,” Guerriero said, but given the state of the country, the economy, and the race to date, if Romney is to be the nominee, “he needs to go against the best debater with the deepest understanding of policy both domestic and foreign, and that appears to be Newt Gingrich.”

It’s no secret that Gingrich likes debates and has performed well in them, but Romney has had his share of solid performances too, and Guerriero and his colleagues believe Romney would stand to benefit from a two-person format featuring his toughest opponent to prepare him for debates against President Obama if he does win the GOP nomination.

He continued, “It looks like Newt’s made a real run at this, and the Romney camp is trying to run out the clock, and we don’t think that’s necessarily a wise strategy.” Instead, he said, the base should be able to see the top candidates answer the tough questions that these conservative publications don’t believe are being asked.

Going forward, Guerriero said, they have asked the candidates if they would agree to such a debate after the first few primary contests. Gingrich, he said, “is itching to do it,” but the Romney campaign “has been more circumspect.”

They hope to get one on the calendar soon, he said, but for now it won’t be for the date they had planned on prior to the Iowa caucuses. Guerriero said he realized the debate might not be as big as the debates that television networks can produce, but he asserted, “We want them onstage together.”

  1. Guess the Mitt is afraid of something I still think Newt will get the nod even if he has to go all the way to the convention to get it. I saw a bit ago that Newt is in till the convention.

  2. It shows Romney has no substance and is a coward. We don’t need another Obama.

  3. If you sell a shit sandwich, falsely labeled “Tuna Salad”, to an unsuspecting customer who is not familiar with Tuna Salad, that will be the last “Tuna Salad” sandwich he buys.

Romney is a LibTurd., packaging him as a Conservative does not make him one, and would destroy the brand. No G’d'd way will I vote for that slick AssWhole!!!

Gingrich ain’t my favorite, I prefer Santorum. If Newt is nominated, I will vote for him unless he lifts Satan’s tail and inserts his tongue. Otherwise, I will do another write in.

  4. My state Constitution won’t let write ins and they won’t change it before primary or Gen. Election

  5. Obama is always on vacation or the campaign trail…. He doesn’t do anything else….oh, that’s right he does play Golf…
We must defeat this “liar in chief”…

  6. Great read Jim, thank You!
The Mormon god Rohm has done nothing but lie, and, distort the truth about everything he has said about Newt.. I am, and have been, spending full days just going around and correcting Rohm’s disinformation about Newt, and the many conservatives who believe that Romney is the best suited for the conservative party, He’s Not! He came out last week praising Hezbollah’s health care initiatives, what does that say for Israel in a Rohm White House, it says that Rohm will continue Obama’s antisemitism, can you imagine how Hezbollah will receive him? His carrying the banner of a conservative christian will boost the Muslims standing in our worlds policies towards them, and that makes this SOB one of the most dangerous politicians to run for the presidency than I have ever seen in my 52 years. He came out and said again last week that Obama is turning around the economy, and said Obama was doing a good job, he said that his policies are similar to those of Obama’s . I’m not so stupid to not know what he is doing, he is trying to pull over Obama’s disenfranchised base, and he will do it too, he’s appealing to both the Liberals and conservative Christian’s, who I might add, are more liberal than not, the man has Liberal intentions for America . Obama has failed them and his puppet masters by not implementing the more permanent legislation that the lefts elites, along with the conservative elites wanted. In other words, everything Obama has done, can be either stripped from the books, or not be funded, Dead in the water as I like to say. Romney is the most dangerous candidate I have ever witnessed, and one because, he is on the Conservative ticket as a Christian, this not only secures his standing with Obama’s base, but it legitimizes the Muslims standing in the world also, and we will see Mormonism at it’s very worst. He must win over Obama’s base so he can further his Liberal ideas, and he’ll do it, while holding up the Conservative Christian banner, furthering Obama’s health care, it is on his must do list despite, despite that we have said hell no!. He’s not targeting the right, he’s wading chest deep amongst the liberal poop soup to win them over, and too of course, the more liberal conservatives? His Mormonism also plays a role in all this, and mark my words, that in and of it’s self, will become a serious threat to all of us, including the Christian standing in the world as a whole, unless of course your a Mormon. Like Ahmadinejad’s Muhammad, he wants see the prophecies of Joseph Smith coming to past, and he will see to it that the prophecies of the Mormon book do just that, by aiding those prophecies along? Newt is the most conservative of them all, and he’s horribly misjudged because of the media’s thrashing, furthered by Rohm’s flooding of disinformation, along with the conservative elites who know that Newt will strip them of power, and Newt will pull a lot of political teeth…
