Al Gore at Hampshire College: Global warming is real and needs to be addressed now

Comments by Jim Campbell

Looks like the chubster is out to baffle the kids at the tony prep school with his bullshit.  It’s a shame one of them didn’t challenge him to a debate.  He refuses to debate scientists, the average joe or take questions from the media or let them in the room.

I’m sorry dear readers but this guy needs his ass kicked big time.

AlGore is a CarbonWhore and belongs behind bars for perpetrating a hoax for financial gain with his carbon trading company.

AMHERST — Former Vice president Al Gore on Friday refuted claims that global warning is a myth, saying that 97 to 98 percent of the worlds’ scientists attest to its veracity.

Gore was the keynote speaker at the inauguration of Hampshire College President Jonathan Lash Friday. The theme of Lash’s inauguration was “Educating for Change: critical thinking in a critical time.”

“Now there are some talk radio show hosts, they say that (global warming is) not (real),” Gore said. “It’s up to you; my point is we must respond. What the scientists tell us is going to take place if we do not is too awful to contemplate.”

Just before Gore spoke, he was he introduced by Hampshire alumnus Gary Hirshberg, co-founder of the New Hampshire-based Stonyfield Farm, who announced a $1 million donation to the college for its commitment to the environment.

Gore, who spoke for about 20 minutes before the more than 2,000 people who packed the tent on the campus lawn, told stories about growing up in Nashville, Tenn., at a time of the civil rights movement and the need to address injustice. He spent just a few minutes addressing the environment and global warming.

In 2007, Gore won the Nobel Prize with the U.N Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. “An Inconvenient Truth,” a film about his campaign to educate people about global warming, won two Oscars in 2006. Since then some have contested the veracity of the claims that climate change is caused by humans.

Gore said that some claim environmental change is caused by sunspots or volcanoes. ”That’s not true. It’s an urgent problem that requires urgent attention and must be addressed,” he said.

Gore told students that some doubted the wisdom of President John F. Kennedy saying in the early 1960s that the United State would land on the moon within a decade. “You will have the opportunity to do things greater than you can possibly imagine,” Gore said. “And now is the time. We need an American spring this spring. We need to occupy democracy.”

Those remarks drew wild applause. Gore did not take questions or meet with the media. According to campus officials, he was on a tight schedule. He and Lash have been friends for decades.

In his remarks following officially becoming the sixth president of Hamphire College, Lash also spoke of his concern for the environment. “I think what we are doing to our earth is stupid, wrong, short-sighted and completely unnecessary,” Lash, who described himself as a “card-carrying greenie,” said.

Lash referred to this time as belonging to the Anthropocene era, which some scientists are calling a new geologic era.

“Part of my role at Hampshire will be to be relentless and ambitious about what our community can do to live, and prepare our students to thrive in the Anthropocene,” Lash said. “How can we link our farm and our food, our curriculum and our operations, our understanding of culture and art, and our notion of humankind’s place on earth to make a difference in the course of events.”

He outlined seven ways in which the college is addressing these issues, including a climate action project to make the college operations “climate neutral” in 10 years. Another project is a major upgrade of the Robert Crown Center that will result in a major reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy savings. And with money from Hirschberg, he said the college is undertaking a “comprehensive program seeking transitions in the way Hampshire feeds itself, uses its farm, operates its campus…and defines its culture.”

The two-hour ceremony featured many speakers welcoming Lash and musical interludes.

  1. There is no doubt that the government is running the schools and colleges. This is just more proof. Who that is sane would even have Gore speak I mean come on the man is a loser first class.

Why is it so easy for Gore to see global warming as a real threat and an acuality, but can not see Obama as a dire threat to this countrys constitutional security and future welfare? In fact, all the dolts in charge need some sense slapped into them, as well as many Americans that call themselves patriots and still see Obama as a savior instead of the deceiver from satans bag of tricks.

  3. Al Gore and David Suzuki, both need their asses kicked!

Last Summer on a holiday back to my family’s homestead….I gave a quick lesson on the Global warming scam to my nieces….both in their early thirties! They wanted me to send them all the info. I had to them when I returned home. They hadn’t heard anything concerning the refuting of Global Warming by lots of Scientists. They still thought that it was a scientific fact!! I told them they really needed to hang out with me for a month…I’d turn their little worlds upside down and get them to actually smell BS about everything!! LOL!

  4. Wierd Al is looking more like a Baldwin every day.

  5. unintended consequence of wind power……research show that surface temperatures in proximity to wind farms has gone up significantly since wind farm construction began. Since I live in close proximity to several wind farms I think it is the truth. Admittedly I live in Texas and it does get hot in Texas but triple digit temps in April is NOT normal….

  6. Glad I could be of help, I think…. ;-)

  7. Global warming is a fact, and it’s irreversible…it’s also not due to carbon emissions in whole.. It seems to be due to pole shift (which we are experiencing now with a 40mi/yr creep) Any 5th grader can access the historical data and come to a proper conclusion. The mean global temperature over the longest periods is around 72 deg. F. with short term dips into ice ages (50 deg. F). Basing data on 1 million years is laughable. The Triassic period, lasted 248 million years combined with the Jurassic Period, equating a mean temperature of …72 frigging degrees! I think we need to have a math entrance exam for any politician!

  8. CORRECTION: Triassic period =248 million + Jurassic period of 206 million = almost a 1/2 BILLION! now that’s some margin of error if you ask me!

  9. Gore is so beyond help you would not believe it. Consider that he has a known blood issue. Consider the satanic rituals and what is taken from the very very young. Consider what the fallen in the flesh must do to feed. How their stench rises from the depths beneath the DUMB. This man is well named for that which he is addicted too, and the cost to pay for his addiction is extreme. Consider now the term…”They bath in gore”. The true price of payment for his depth of evil has not yet begun, and is also beyond human imagination.

  10. The speed of all energetic life force is 10 billion x light. It’s frequency is also 10 billion x above the mean of Schumans resonance. The greatest frequency generator of perfection is the ark of the testimony. As Nemisis approaches the asteroid belt, our blue jewel for the last time experiences several celestial cyclical events. Those who remain in sin will be further seperated during this spiritual and energetic destruction by fire. By the many tools like the electronic cage. The gulf was the strike in the heart of our blue jewel. It brings uncalculated devistation to all life. It also brings a mini ice age. The ancient knowledge of energetics by the pyramid design of the adversary is now used to worsen these events,
to justify the greed of green toward a new age religion. To see it’s results, study the true conditions of Mars. An attack on carbon is an attack on all life. As Nemisis gains speed from the sun to begin another hyperelyptical orbit, the shift will move Canada 1,200 miles south over a two month period. Populations must move 100 miles away from coastlines, and a min of 50 miles from the new Madrid fault. The salt dome of the gulf will collapse. They never wanted the oil, they wanted chaos. Oil is not a hydrocarbon, it is abiotic. It is very replenishable and would be little needed if energetics belonged to a world of hearts right with God. The greatest pool of oil is 27.2 trillion bls. running N/S in the shape of a hook through Israel, 80% controlled by those of evil intent, the false Jew. The drilling in Meggiddio will cause the Arabs to claim it steals oil from their pool, when in fact the pressure overflows into their land to bring wealth already promised to God’s chosen who have rejected him or live in the spiritual confusion of Babylon.

  11. Here’s one way to slap some sense into this fool, albeit indirectly:

Stop sending your kids to any institution of higher education (so they call themselves…) that allows Algore or any similar ecofreak to speak without a comprehensive and firm rebuttal.

Don’t attend such institutions yourself, and fercryinoutloud, don’t sign up for any loans to pay tuition there.

If you are an alumnus or a foundation, don’t give them any contributions or grants.
