Congressman Allen West says the proposed cuts will decimate our military

GREAT NEWS:  Today I began writing for Congressman Allen West for the Congressional Seat in District 18.  I believe it’s safe to say we all believe the Congressman is headed for far better things.  You may follow my writings about Congressman West here.  All tips with articles will be appreciated.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

At a time when most of the world can represent a flash point and a potential deployment could be imminent at any time.  Let’s hear it for the anti-war progressives in this country who believe we can negotiate with terrorists and want to attempt to balance some of Obama’s idiotic spending on the backs of the military.

Congressman West was unequivocal with his statement below the proposed cuts saying, “They will decimate our military.”

Not to worry, The House of Representatives is responding for funding legislation, this will not pass.

It’s time for the 47% of the people who have been getting a free ride in the wagon and pay no federal income taxes to get out of the wagon and start pulling it with the rest of us.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

Automatic defense cuts under sequestration would shrink the U.S. Army from 560,000 troops to fewer than 490,000. Such a scenario would leave America with a fighting force that appears functional on paper but cannot carry out many of its missions.
Congress, in its August 2011 debt limit deal, agreed on $487 billion in defense cuts over the next decade. Failure to agree on further cuts by December will lead to another $500 billion reduction in defense spending, otherwise known as “sequestration,” the effect of which would be catastrophic, according to lawmakers. …

In a worst case scenario, sequestration would shrink the U.S. Army from 560,000 troops to fewer than 490,000; the Marines from 202,000 to fewer than 182,000; the Navy from 325,000 to fewer than 322,000; and the Air Force from 333,000 to fewer than 330,000, according to statistics provided by the Reserve Officers Association (ROA). …

“If you take the Navy back to the size it was [during] World War I and the Air Force back to the size it was when it was created, and 200,000 [troops] from the military, that’s the definition of a hollow military,” [Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon (R., Calif.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee].said, using a term describing a fighting force that appears functional on paper but cannot carry out actual missions.

  1. Jimmy, you have undertaken another worthy vocation. Awesome! No one on the political scene impresses me more the Allen West. Would have happily supported him for president or any other position in the White House. Will follow with interest if not many comments. Keep it clean for all the little old right- minded ladies like myself who don’t like vulgar language.

  2. AMERICO IRIZARRY

I AGREE AS A US ARMY SERVICE MEMBER WE CAN NOT GET ANY MORE CUT BACKS WE NEED A STRONG DEFENSE FORCE FOR OUR SECURITY AND NATIONAL INTEREST TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM AND SECURITY OF THIS GREAT NATION WE LIVE IN

  3. Jim, want to follow you, but the link up top didn’t connect. Any other way, Allen West for VP in ’12 and president in ’16 (if the US still exist)

  4. Redneck Woman

    JC…..
Would West be interested in having his name submitted at a brokered Convention? Would love to hear that he would!
