The Washington Post hits Obama: “I, too have become disillusioned”

Comments by my buddy Joop from New Zealand also a citizen Journalist and Patriot.

Finally, the Washington Post speaks out on Obama! This is very brutal, and timely though.

By marching backwards and from behind?

As I’m sure you know, the Washington Post newspaper has a reputation for being extremely liberal. So the fact that its editor saw fit to print the following article about Obama in its newspaper makes this a truly amazing event and a news story in and of itself. At last, the truth about our President and his obvious
socialist agenda are starting to trickle through the “protective wall” built around him by our liberal media.

“I, too have become disillusioned.”

NOW ENVIRONMENTALISTS, DELUSIONAL OBAMA VOTERS WONDERING W.T.F. HAPPENED TO THE CHOSEN ONE! DISILLUSIONED THEY CRY AND SCREAM, HOW PRODUCTIVE.

By Matt Patterson (columnist – Washington Post, New York Post,
San Francisco Examiner)

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of
Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result
of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze
of the Middle Ages.

How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of
professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could
manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful
military, execute the world’s most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining Obama’s pre-presidential
life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable
grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a “community
organizer”; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative
achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did
he vote “present”); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the
United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his
presidential ambitions.

He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature
legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his
troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher
who for decades served as Obama’s “spiritual mentor”; a real-life,
actual terrorist who served as Obama’s colleague and political
sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all
and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman
Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal:
To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an
outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant
terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because
Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom
to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices,
even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink
in: Obama was given a pass – held to a lower standard – because of the
color of his skin.

Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient
history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he
himself had said) “non-threatening,” all of which gave him a fighting
chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the
curse of racism to rest?

Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of
the Obama phenomenon – affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of
course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all
affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily
to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about
themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat
themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools
for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the
inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow.
Liberals don’t care if these minority students fail; liberals aren’t
around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem
resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes,
racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the
color of his skin – that’s affirmative action in a nutshell, and if
that isn’t racism, then nothing is.

And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was
never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As
many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia
despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good
enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was
told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in
the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was
good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the
contrary.

What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on
display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he
lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama’s
oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people -
conservatives included – ought now to be deeply embarrassed.

The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and
that’s when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the
prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one
original idea has ever issued from his mouth – it’s all warmed-over
Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming
anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad
luck; I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so
willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his
own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has
never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act
responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with
neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you
understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current
erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone
otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

  1. Every words that man said is true.. Are the ppl of theUSA that easly swayed to a man that had no experience of anything but being friends with communist background. And he is not an American so the Obama colr didn thav anything to do whih these words.

  2. When exactly did you FIRST make these sentiments known, Matt? This is certainly an exposition which could have been written in its entirety in 2007 or 2008. Was it?
You and you ilk in the MSM put Barack Hussein Obama in the White House by gleefully issuing the same all-around “pass,” creating the same cover-up of a wholly unremarkable (indeed, corrupt and thuggish) career which you now lament.
Obama is YOUR president, Matt. Yours through and through. This article is a first, VERY LATE step towards atonement for the extraordinary damage you have done the US and its public. Will there be more?

  3. If he is arrested – before November 6th, all will be reversed! No obamaTAXcare, No Sotomayor, No Kagan, No nothing since January 2009! Is that not a beautiful thought? Sheriff Joe has it in the bag! All We The People need is one honest American Judge! Or our Supreme Court to wake up!

  4. Matt – Thank you for a straight forward and honest assessment in the mainstream media. Better late than never I suppose — reality strikes home — although I suggest that “we” didn’t lull BO into the game of Affirmative Action – that has been an entirely race-based, on-going CYA gambit of the liberal Ideologues since (at least) LBJ’s Great Society – the ultimate travesty for which we are now paying the definitive price – the deepest sin of institutionalized racism. This ultimate racial distain has always been masked in the “make up for past atrocities” (at all costs) context that maintains that black people (or any other minority, or person) are not otherwise capable of achieving (further masked in an excuse-to-action by the subtext of “underprivileged”) – therefore we justify the false and artificial “leveling of the field” by accepting situational, personal, academic and professional incompetence (no matter what the consequences) and “passing” these “poor souls” along while adhering to formal (or agenda driven informal) quotas devoid of merit. The deep and abiding obscenity of all that is exactly as you cite (again thank you for the critical analysis) — but I would put a much finer point on it — as a country we have deliberately acquiesced to the proactive belittlement and incremental destruction of our own countrymen – Americans. The inhumanity of this mindset – let alone active public law and policy – is unforgiveable. And now it has come back to haunt us as a President who isn’t just The Amateur – he is The Incompetent – and the very basest of the form. All this said – we can, we will, we must recover. One man will not be allowed to take the experiment down – but we must resolutely and soundly defeat (and keep defeating) the elitist ideology that allowed him to become the poster-child for everything wrong with the “demeritocracy” we are so very close to becoming.

  5. I never hear anyone speak of Affirmative Action in this way – I have always thought of it as being detrimental to everyone. The very people that it is supposedly put into place for and the rest that have to deal with the consequences of someone who is unqualified. By design it sets people up to fail. It also fosters an entilement mind set. In the work place, that “Affirmative Action” position is a weak link. The program should be retired………………Obama is a great example of every reason Affirmative Action is just wrong for everyone.

  6. What did it take for you , and other media, to finally “get it.” A debate that made him look like a first grader being lectured by a college professor? I feel that the media is a large part of the mess the United States is now in. I just pray that, now that “you have seen the light”, that you will be as tenacious to back a man that can begin to put us back on the right track. One thing that you can do, if you really do want to help, bring out the facts that his long birth certificate is bogus. And that he IS NOT an AMERICAN citizen. There is proof out there, if you want it. WHY NOT BE THE PAPER THAT PROVES IT PUBLICALLY ? Help send him back to Kenya. You helped get us here , NOW, can you help us turn it around?

  7. Nice read amigo, piss your vote away so you can get Obama again. Idealists, Ron Paul supporters and Gary Johnson supporters are so God Damn clueless they can’t see the sun because their heads are where Obama keeps his.

Romney a ‘college professor’ lecturing a ‘first grader’????Get used to it on your big HD screen or sports bar tv, because HE is what you
will get by voting for HIM. HE says whatever you want to hear…that is so you will be delighted with HIS image. Mr.Romney is all things to
all people…the worst kind of imposter and will not get my vote because of that fact!
