Republicans Endorse Platform Language to Dismantle Most of the Federal Government*

Ah Dan my ever cynical libertarian amigo, nothing is forever and this is one hell of a platform to begin.

With some luck, perseverance and many years of non stop work, we will get this country going in the right direction.

The progressives don’t want the Constitution, they hate the 2nd and the 10th Amendment and are quite selective about what non prigs get to use as verbage.

Go with it my friend, it’s the only horse to ride.

I wish the Republican Platform was binding.

Too bad it’s meaningless fluff

Why? Because the GOP, for all intents and purposes, has just proposed to eliminate the Department of Education, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Energy, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Health and Human Services, along with a host of other government programs, agencies, and departments.

More specifically, they endorsed the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which means they put themselves on record in favor of getting rid of all federal spending and intervention that is inconsistent with the Founding Fathers’ vision of a limited central government.

As I have suggested in several posts below, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama are the personification of evil. It is doubtful that their evil minds had anything to do with the writing of this bill. No one knows for certain that this bill was developed by unelected czars, crafted with the intent of destroying our current system and replacing it with a single payer system.

The tactics and approach may very well have been written in prison.

In yet another violation of the Constitution, the Thirteenth Amendment may be used by physicians to challenge the Obama Health Denial and Early Death Plan. 1. ‘Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” 2. “Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

Since those that wrote the law appear to be unknown, those who voted on it didn’t know what was in it, and had little if anything to do in writing it, an investigation must be held as to why a bill of such magnitude can be voted upon by the clueless and unknowing.  Nancy Pelosi said it best, “We have to pass the bill before you know what’s in it.” Does it seem remotely possible that if she didn’t read it, the vast majority of those that voted for it didn’t either? Brings new meaning to the phrase “taxation without representation”

This is the same  the same august body that needed twenty-three resolutions to deal with Saddam Hussein. They were in fact completely impotent when it came to enforcing those resolutions on Saddam Hussein’s Iran.  This group is made up largely of third world nations, despots and dictators that rarely vote in favor of proposals the U.S. backs.

It’s a place where our “ally,” France sold its vote in a promise not the attack for under the table oil contracts, greatly enriching those involved.

WASHINGTON — Politicians are staying in Congress longer and longer, but in an election year with a noticeably anti-incumbent mood, some Washington outsiders are challenging the idea of making a career out of public service.

“We need folks coming in from the outside who have paid taxes and created jobs and lived under the regulations that these career politicians have created,” said Jim Rutledge, a Republican attorney running to unseat Maryland Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski, who has 33 years in Congress between the House and Senate.

Rutledge is typical of the outsiders running this year, who know statistics are not in their favor.

Between 1789 and 2002, 13.9 percent of House members and 21.9 percent of senators served 12 years or more, according to the Congressional Research Service.

In today’s Congress, 42.9 percent of House members and 45 percent of senators have been in office for 12 years or more, according to data compiled by the authors of the textbook “Congress and Its Members.”

Term limits supporters, who think 12 years in Congress is plenty, say those numbers have an easy explanation.

“The powers of incumbency in this country are so great that it is nearly impossible to unseat an incumbent, barring death, indictment, scandal or retirement,” said Philip Blumel, a Florida financial planner and president of the advocacy group U.S. Term Limits.

In 2008, 94 percent of incumbents were re-elected to the House and 83 percent were re-elected to the Senate, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Complete Story
