Obama’s plan to develop and secure America’s energy resources a complete farce

Reader beware. This was taken directly from the White House website, www.whitehouse.gov, a frequent visitor to this site. This is just another great example of the blind leading the dumb while killing opportunities to develop our own resources so that we may be closer to becoming energy independent.

This is nothing but another socialist redistribution scheme devised by the progressives in the administration.  To members of congress, if you were serious about this, how about passing  HR bill 1938  which will bring nearly 1.3 million barrels of tar sands oil per day to Gulf Coast refineries and create 20,000 jobs during its construction phase?

No, this is all about more redistribution of wealth. While our economy is in the tank, and unemployment remains at record levels this administration would rather help companies develop solar, wind, and other yet to be proven industries in China.  That my friends defines “Tilting at Windmills.” 

For the record the author is for developing all sources of potential energy as long as they are developed in the U.S.A. and require no subsidy by the tax payer for any project.  Think Ethanol,  Think Apple…Did Steve Jobs need the government to fund his wizardry? 

This One’s For You

Needing to raise money for my new ‘Green Jobs’ operation I applied for a federal grant. I was somewhat desperate, recently fired from my position with the government.  I was tasked with getting people to paint their roofs white to ‘save energy’ and cool the planet.

I opened the mail box nine months later and found a letter from the Treasury Department. In it was a check for $500.000, a nice letter telling me that I had been approved. Wow TARP funding in action.

Did I care that it was your money?  Not one bit!  Of course I had never operated a business in the United States.  I was shocked to find the amount of paperwork and onerous taxes I was required to pay.

My goodness, FICA, workman’s comp, Medicare, state taxes, federal taxes,  liability insurance and OSHA compliance, just to name a few. Damn, there was even a new one I’d never heard of called the NPRT. I called my local Congressman and was told that was the newly created Nancy Pelosi Retirement Tax. I quickly asked how soon can I start paying a BFRT, HRRT , BBRT and most important an ORT?

All I wanted was to start a roofing company. Little did I know, to be in compliance with federal law, the grant required me employ only union labor.  Was it my fault there were no union laborers trained to put up roofing tarps?

What’s a guy to do?  Then it hit me, I’ll start my plant in Mexico. I’ve heard most green jobs go there anyway.

Just another example of our tax dollars being given to the highest contributor. This is an  absolute classic. Rachel “Madcow’s” take at the end was pure and simply clueless. If you would like to see a very quick primer on how government works, and I’m speaking with any administration, this video is for you.  It is time we elect responsible people to represent us who will pledge not to go for ear marks and have them held accountable.  Or here’s a novel idea, what if the “representatives” were to spend the money as though it was their own.  If they want to write bad checks then let them go to jail as any of us would if we continued to spend money with such reckless regard for the consequences to our deficit.  I believe the term used is check fraud?  Random thought on the passing parade, J.C.

It’s not a matter of when, but how quickly major corporations will be bolting for the door on this dimwitted scam. Can’t wait to see Jeffrey Imult take GE down to about $5.00 a share. ConocoPhillips, BP America and Caterpillar pulled out of a leading alliance of businesses and environmental groups pushing for climate change legislation on Tuesday, citing complaints that the bills under consideration are unfair to American industry.

The sudden pullout of three corporate giants from a leading alliance of businesses and environmental groups could be the death knell for climate change legislation languishing on Capitol Hill.

ConocoPhillips, BP America and Caterpillar’s announced Tuesday they will pull out of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership, citing complaints that the bills now in Congress are unfair to American industry.

BP spokesman Ronnie Chappell said Tuesday’s announcements are not a statement on the likelihood that climate change legislation will fail.

“I would never speculate as to what would happen with a pending piece of legislation,” Chappell said.

But he said the bills on the table no longer “conform” with what USCAP envisioned for a climate change bill. He said the legislation — including one bill that passed the House but is stalled in the Senate — does not provide adequate protections to U.S. refineries.

If any bills are passed, they will result in more oil imports, the closure of U.S. refineries and the loss of U.S. jobs. Plus he said it’s too hard on the transportation sector. Complete Story:

How fitting would it be for everyone to get up and walk out of the room when the ‘commie’ speaks?  Not likely to happen as those in attendance have much to gain from the fully discredited concept of CO2 man made Global Warming.  Under Obama’s policies, how many “Green Jobs” would actually be able to stay in the USA? Very, very, few!  Random thoughts on why this issues isn’t as dead as Obama’s entire agenda, J.C.

Van Jones, still a communist?

Van Jones, President Obama’s controversial former “green jobs” czar, is slated to address a major environmental forum next week alongside speakers from such major corporations as Microsoft, IBM, Yahoo, Intel, Best Buy and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Jones resigned in September after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and signed a statement that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Jones also called for “resistance” against the U.S. government.

Jones is one of 22 speakers at next Thursday’s State of Green Business Forum in San Francisco. The day-long event, sponsored by the environmental activist website GreenBiz.com, focuses on corporate environmental trends, carbon management and “green” business initiatives.

Other scheduled speakers at the forum include Rob Bernard, chief environmental strategist for Microsoft; Rich Lechner, vice president of energy and environment for IBM; Christina Page, director of climate and energy strategy for Yahoo; Rick Rommel, senior vice president of emerging business for Best Buy Co., Lorie Wigle, general manager of the eco-technology program office for Intel Corporation.
