A History Lesson: Why we fight in the Middle East and the formation of the Islamic State

crew-2231Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

It all relates to the Sykes-Picot Agreement which was imposed upon “The Arab State.”

To be sure, Glenn Beck has his detractors.

I’ve found him to be one of the most influential people and educators who awakened me to what has been going on in America as the progressive, communist movement has tried to grasp her and pull her beneath the the surface.

This should serve as a wake up call, much the same as his introduction to us of who the creature called Barack Hussein Obama seems to be and where he got his intellectual roots.

Cloward and Piven, Saul Alinksy’s “Rules for Radicals,” current day issues in the Middle East and the current administrations cover up on Benghazi to name just a few.

Glenn Beck broke down the history of the Middle East on his television program Thursday, focusing on a nearly 100-year-old agreement that he says is integral to understanding the motivations of the Islamic State: the Sykes-Picot Agreement.

If you do not understand this, Beck said, you cannot fully understand the Islamic State, or why the Israelis and the Palestinians will never reach a two-state solution.

Though many go back to 1948 and the creation of the modern state of Israel when examining the history of Middle Eastern conflicts, Beck said you actually have to go back to 1916 and World War I.

T.E. Lawrence and World War I

Glenn Beck speaks about T.E. Lawrence, right, on his television program September 18, 2014.

“This is the last time the Arab world had a united Islamic State led by a religious leader: the Ottoman Empire, the caliphate,” Beck began. “The Allies knew the Ottoman Empire could shut down key shipping routes and cripple Britain’s economy, France’s.

They had to neutralize it. So Great Britain sent over an Army officer from Britain, and his name was T.E. Lawrence. There was a movie made about him, a great movie with Peter O’Toole called ‘Lawrence of Arabia.’”

Lawrence was tasked with convincing the Arabs to fight against the Ottoman Empire. After Lawrence promised the Arabs rule over a new united Arab kingdom of greater Syria — which encompassed present day Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and parts of Iraq and Jordan — he succeeded.

“To get to the root of the current Middle East conflict, that is your starting point,” Beck said. “It is at the center of everything that is happening today.”

“The problem here — Great Britain never intended to honor the promises that they made,” Beck continued. “They had used the Arabs in order to protect their own interests. Remember, they needed to get the Ottoman Empire out of the way.”

Sykes-Picot Agreement

“The entire time Lawrence was negotiating with the Arabs, Great Britain, behind everybody’s back, was negotiating with France, and planning how they were going to actually divide up the Middle East after the war,” Beck said. “They needed to make sure there was no united Arab kingdom that would ever get in the way.”

Under the Sykes-Picot agreement, the British and the French drew new boundaries, fracturing the region so, Beck said, “the British and their allies in the region could control it.”

“Remember, the goal was to divide the Arabs, not to unite them, divide them, so they could protect the trade routes,” Beck said. “They didn’t care about the Arabs, they didn’t care about the Jews, they didn’t care about anything. They wanted the trade routes.”

ISIS: “The End of Sykes-Picot”

The Arabs were forced to accept this western European model of the nation-states because they had no choice,” Beck remarked. “Arab resentment grows in the wake of that treaty, Sykes-Picot, where they have divided everything and made new lines. They wanted — the Palestinians, the Arabs — what was promised to them — the rule of greater Syria.”

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

In the decades after the Sykes-Picot Agreement, after the Ottoman Empire collapsed, the British created the British Mandate for Palestine. The area east of the Jordan River was called Transjordan, and the area west of it was a land for the Jewish people.

“How would the Arab world be able to unite now? They needed a new rallying cry. They would use the Balfour Declaration, Britain’s promise of a Jewish homeland in Palestine,” Beck said. “[They] needed to start blaming the Jews, the pawns.”

Obama raises concerns on growing casualties in call with Netanyahu

crew-2231Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

Forgive me for temporarily taking leave of my senses, but Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should care one angstrom what Obama is concerned about?

Oh yes and take this one to the bank, Obama a well known psychopath is incapable of having any concern about anything, though he does an adequate job of faking it from time to time.

Perhaps a more appropriate response would be for Netyanhu to laugh in his face.

Obama doesn’t seem to have made any reference to Hamas’s practice of staging operations from civilian areas in order to provoke retaliatory fire that would hurt civilians and could thus be used for propaganda purposes. He doesn’t appear to have mentioned the Hamas avowals that they use human shields. No, Obama subscribes to the mainstream media fiction that Israel takes insufficient care (at best) to minimize civilian casualties.

“Obama Raises Concerns On Growing Casualties In Call With Netanyahu,” by Mollie Reilly, Huffington Post, July 20, 2014

President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Sunday about Israel’s ground operation in Gaza, the White House said in a statement.

According to the White House, Obama raised concerns about the number of casualties in recent days. As the New York Times reported, Sunday marked the deadliest day in the conflict so far, with 87 Palestinians and 13 Israeli soldiers killed.

“The President discussed Israel’s ongoing military operation, reiterated the United States’ condemnation of attacks by Hamas against Israel, and reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself,” the White House said. “The President also raised serious concern about the growing number of casualties, including increasing Palestinian civilian deaths in Gaza and the loss of Israeli soldiers.”

The president also said Secretary of State John Kerry would travel to Cairo, Egypt in order “to seek an immediate cessation of hostilities based on a return to the November 2012 ceasefire agreement.”

During the call, Netanyahu thanked Obama for his support.

Sunday’s call was the second between the two leaders in three days. During a Friday call, Obama urged Netanyahu to minimize civilian deaths.

“We’ve indicated although we support military efforts by the Israelis to make sure that rockets are not being fired into their territory, we also have said that our understanding is the current military ground operations are designed to deal with the tunnels,” Obama told reporters Friday. “And we are hopeful that Israel will continue to approach this process in a way that minimizes civilian casualties.”

Earlier Sunday, Kerry, apparently unaware that he was being recorded prior to an interview with Fox News, candidly expressed his exasperation with the growing number of casualties.
“It’s a hell of a pinpoint operation. It’s a hell of a pinpoint operation,” Kerry said to an off-camera aide. “We’ve got to get over there … I think, John, we ought to go tonight. I think it’s crazy to be sitting around.”

Netanyahu rejects Obama’s offer: Ceasefire “is not even on the agenda”

How could Israel’s Prime Minister take anything Obama says seriously?

The rest of the world doesn’t, friend or foe and neither do we.

Netanyahu  was ‘Humiliated’ by Obama Snub

Let’s not forget Obama refused to meet with Netanyahu in the oval office.

netanyahu_obamaIt has been the pattern for decades now: whenever Israel starts to defend itself, the U.S. President tries to get it to stop. But now that Israel is dealing with a fanatically and consistently anti-Israel President, more and more Israelis (and pro-Israel Americans) are realizing that Israel is on its own against the jihadi onslaught. And so this time the President’s word doesn’t carry as much weight as it did in the past.

An update on this story. “Obama speaks with Netanyahu, offering to broker ceasefire with Hamas,” by Michael Wilner, Jerusalem Post, July 11, 2014:

VIENNA — The United States is prepared to facilitate a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, US President Barack Obama told Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu by phone today.

In the call, Obama “reiterated the United States’ strong condemnation of continuing rocket fire into Israel by Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Gaza and reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself against these attacks,” the White House said in a readout of the conversation.

But Netanyahu has ruled out a ceasefire with Hamas in the short-term. On the contrary, the Israeli leader has vowed a series of additional stages to Operation Protective Edge— his government’s response to continued rocket fire on Israeli towns and cities, after Hamas, a terrorist organization, stockpiled tens of thousands of rockets in the coastal territory over the last several years.

A ceasefire is “not even on the agenda,” Netanyahu told members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, just hours before his call with the US leader.

Obama also expressed concern, the press secretary’s office continued, “about the risk of further escalation and emphasized the need for all sides to do everything they can to protect the lives of civilians and restore calm.” ( A complete lode)

U.S. in secret talks with jihad terrorists of Hamas for six months

crew-2231Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

I for one. refuse to believe this happened or could have remotely happened.

Transparency to Obama means scuba diving with zero visiblilty.

Why not just go for a dive in a lake filled with mud?

After all, Obama promised us the most transparent administration in U.S. Presidential history.

HamasWell, if he will negotiate with the Taliban, why not with Hamas? Nonetheless, at some point, surely this becomes a violation of federal law — not that Obama is likely to care about that. And with Boehner on the verge of tears and capitulation across the aisle, and the mainstream media ever anxious to make him look good, there is absolutely nothing to hold him accountable. “The U.S. Has Been Speaking To Hamas Through Back Channels For More Than Six Months,” by Sheera Frenkel, BuzzFeed, June 4, 2014 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

JERUSALEM — United States officials have been holding secret back-channel talks with Hamas over the last six months to discuss their role in the newly formed unity government, according to two senior diplomatic sources with direct knowledge of the talks.

The meetings were held between U.S. intermediaries and Hamas’ leadership, which lives outside the Gaza Strip in third-party countries ranging from Egypt to Qatar and Jordan. Topics included the ceasefire agreement with Israel and the recently formed unity government between Hamas and Fatah.

During the talks, Hamas gave assurances that allowed the U.S. to support the unity government, despite heavy pressure by the Israeli government for them to condemn it, the diplomatic officials — one American and one Palestinian — said. They said those assurances including a commitment to maintaining a ceasefire with Israel.

“Our administration needed to hear from them that this unity government would move toward democratic elections, and toward a more peaceful resolution with the entire region,” said one U.S. official familiar with the talks.

He spoke on condition of anonymity, as the U.S, government’s official stance is that it has not, and will not, talk to Hamas until certain preconditions are met. “It was important to have that line of communication,” the U.S. official said.

Where is the REAL Apartheid in the Middle East?

crew-2231By Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

Apartheid in the Middle East?

There always has been and always will be unless the parties involved come to a peaceful solution on their own.

That would require the U.S. to quit trying to force solutions upon them.

As an afterthought, those from America who never brought Peace to the region must return their Nobel Peace Prizes.

Of course they were bestowed upon the likes of Jimmy Carter, Arafat and Bill Clinton a nominee with Obama winning one before he was in office.

All from the land of intentions count, results don’t matter, Oslo, Norway.

Iran: Commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says US will be stunned by offensive power of Islamic Republic

crew-2231Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

Arabs and Persians are known for their lies and their delusions.

Rather than sabre rattling about what they would do to Israel, their time would be better spent mulling their existential plight should the U.S. decide to turn their nuclear facilities into glowing green glass.

The Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) can reportedly hit targets 200 feet below ground.  At 15 tons a copy, why not?

Each MOP bomb costs $3.5 million to manufacture and its development cost half a billion dollars,

Not likely to use nukes on Iran, the U.S. Air Force’s newest version of it’s bunker busting bombs will take care of Iranian facilities.

Iran’s underground nuclear sites not immune to U.S. bunker-busters, experts say

There would be little doubt of the outcome in Iran should any Iran’s bluster come to fruition.  The only question remaining; does the U.S. currently have a commander-in-chief with a set of balls.

To that, a simple answer, NO!

“Islam’s leaders have long ago prepared us for a great and decisive confrontation.” He sounds like some kind of Islamophobe.

In any case, he hardly sounds like one of those “moderates” whom the mainstream media tell us are now in power in Iran. Jafari has previously said that if Israel attacks Iran’s nuclear program, “nothing will remain” of Israel.

“Iran’s Offensive Power to Stun US: IRGC Commander,” from Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, January 25:

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in reaction to threatening remarks by the US secretary of state underlined that the United States will be stunned by the offensive power of the Islamic Republic if it resorts to military action against Iran.

“The US will never understand the Islamic Republic of Iran’s offensive scope,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said.

Speaking Saturday in an exclusive interview with the Tasnim News Agency on the sidelines of a visit to an exhibition showcasing the capabilities of Imam Hussein (AS) University in Tehran, Jafari said the US threats offer the best opportunity for the “revolutionary Islam” as “Islam’s leaders have long ago prepared us for a great and decisive confrontation”.

Israel issues warning on report on Iran bomb

Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

With Obama as his friend, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs no enemies.

Trust you? You got to be kidding me “BOY”

Knowing all along he would be most likely going it alone he has made is intentions clear, that Iranian nukes represent and existential threat and would not be tolerated.

The only possible thing that could keep the United States out of this would be if Obama is still playing head games with the Iranians and thinks his sanctions are working.

Iran has its own problem with ravaging inflation and a woeful job market.

Let the eat sand.

Yes I know, but what about the kids?  They are born and bred to become terrorists any way.  Sooner rather than later.

  • Report: Iran is developing and installing new and advanced centrifuges that can make bomb in month
  • President Obama has said Iran is a year or more away from having enough enriched uranium to make a bomb
A new report that says Iran may need as little as a month to produce enough uranium for a nuclear bomb is further evidence for why Israel will take military action before that happens, an Israeli defense official said Friday.
“We have made it crystal clear – in all possible forums, that Israel will not stand by and watch Iran develop weaponry that will put us, the entire Middle East and eventually the world, under an Iranian umbrella of terror,” Danny Danon, Israel’s deputy defense minister told USA TODAY.
Iran is developing and installing new and advanced centrifuges that enable Iran to enrich even low-enriched uranium to weapons grade uranium needed for nuclear weapons within weeks, Danon said.
“This speedy enrichment capability will make timely detection and effective response to an Iranian nuclear breakout increasingly difficult,” he said.
“Breakout” refers to the time needed to convert low-enriched uranium to weapons-grade uranium. On Thursday, the Institute for Science and International Security issued a report stating that Iran could reach that breakout in as little as one month based in part on Iran’s own revelations about its nuclear program.

Netanyahu Is Said to View Iran Deal as a Possible Trap

crew-223Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

It must give Israel a warm and fuzzy feeling over the United States’ position on nuke development in Iran when they hear Obama’s bluster below.

“I have been crystal clear about my position on Iran possessing a nuclear weapon. That is a red line for us. It is not only something that would be dangerous for Israel.

It would be dangerous for the world,” Obama told CNN affiliate Israeli Channel 2 TV before a scheduled visit next week to the country.”

The only things that are crystal clear about Obama are when he speaks he lies, and when in meddles in foreign affairs, the Muslim Brother gains more power.

To understand Obama one must be aware that when a pathological liar speaks they tend to believe what they say is true.

Obama is a threat to the safety of the entire world and must be removed from office.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Obama on September 30th, prior to their presentations at the U.N. General Assembly which begins on October 17th of this year.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

WASHINGTON — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, stepping up his effort to blunt a diplomatic offensive by Iran, plans to warn the United Nations next week that a nuclear deal with the Iranian government could be a trap similar to one set by North Korea eight years ago, according to an Israeli official involved in drafting the speech.

Mr. Netanyahu is scheduled to address the General Assembly next Tuesday, a week after President Obama and Iran’s new president, Hassan Rouhani, are to speak at the United Nations.

But the Israeli government, clearly rattled by the sudden talk of a diplomatic opening, offered a preview Sunday of Mr. Netanyahu’s hard-edged message, in which he will set the terms for what would be acceptable to Israel in any agreement concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Israel reportedly strikes multiple targets in Syria in recent days

Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.

As Israel strikes the first allegedly male occupant of the Oval Office without testicles sits idly by wondering what to do.

Obama is a disgrace to America and the world.  Both will be better off when he is back in Kenya where he belongs.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

The Long War Journal

By David Barnett

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck at least one target inside Syria between Thursday evening and Friday morning. US officials told NBC News on Friday that the target was likely “related to delivery systems for chemical weapons” that were destined for Hezbollah. On Saturday, The New York Times reported that Fateh-110 surface-to-surface missiles from Iran were struck at an airport in Damascus.

Press reports had originally suggested that a “building” or “warehouse,” and not a chemical weapons facility, was hit. According to the Wall Street Journal, “the US doesn’t believe Israel would target one of the Syrian regime’s many chemical weapons facilities” as “[t]here could be unintended consequences in hitting such a facility, including unleashing poisonous gas, or by allowing others to raid the damaged facility and steal the weapons.”

An attack on delivery systems is not surprising, however. As former Mossad operations officer Michael Ross noted in February, “The chemical weapons issue is important,” but “it is tangential to the overall issue of Israel’s enemies possessing long range missile capability and other advanced technological weapons systems. Stemming the flow and technological upgrade of these rockets and missiles is a top priority for Israel’s military and intelligence community.”

While Israeli officials have not taken official responsibility for the alleged strike, prior to the news breaking late on Friday evening, Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, told CNN: “If the Syrian regime tries to transfer chemical weapons, or what we call game changing weaponry, to terrorist organizations, particularly to Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel will not remain passive.” In addition, anonymous Israeli officials on Saturday said a raid had targeted a shipment of advanced missiles, according to Reuters and the Associated Press.
