It should come as no surprise to anyone who hasn’t been in a coma the last thirty years that the federal government isn’t capable of running any program better than can be run in the private sectors.

Complete failure

Haven’t we heard the words fraud and abuse ad nausea when talking about balancing the budget?

These are the same fools that believe they understand how to deliver health care to our country.

Who in their right mind would call the IRS for anything?

News Flash:  It may be the law of the land but it will be taken apart to the point that the czars that put it together will not recognize it.

Millions suspected stolen under Medicaid plan to help disabled

A federal audit of one part of the Medicaid system has uncovered hundreds of millions of dollars in suspected fraud, including payments to caregivers to provide home-care services to the disabled even when they are hospitalized or in nursing homes.

“It would seem inconceivable – even for today’s bloated government – if it wasn’t laid out in a report … by the offending agency’s inspector general,” noted Judicial Watch, which reported on the systemic failure.

Judicial Watch said the issue centers on personal care services provided by the federal and state-funded health insurance Medicaid, which have been provided to the disabled since the Supreme Court ruled in the 1990s that such care is a civil right.

Newt Gingrich asks Chris Matthews, ‘What kind of racist thinking do you have?’

Newt Gingrich kicks Chris Matthew’s butt all over the school yard in spite of Matthew’s over talking him, changing the topic and out right lying. 

You nailed him Newt “The Food Stamp President” is only a racial issue because liberals lie about it. 

Of course there are more whites on food stamps than blacks anyone with a functioning brain understands that.

A functioning brain among liberals is not something that is nurtured in the hallowed halls of most U.S. colleges and Universities, by the socialist professors in the soft sciences who for the most part have never worked at a real profession in the private sector.

Talk about the blind teaching the ignorant?  You got it folks.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C. and I approve this message.

In an appearance on MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Monday from the Republican National Convention, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich took on host Chris Matthews, who accused the Republican Party of playing the “race card” throughout the day on MSNBC.

Gingrich turned the tables on Matthews, asking: “Why do you assume ‘food stamp’ refers to black? What kind of racist thinking do you have? Why are you being a racist, because you assume he’s referring to black?”

In a testy exchange, Matthews asked Gingrich why his party was using what he deemed coded racist dog whistles.

“I find your assumption so absurd that it’s hard to answer your question,” Gingrich responded. “Let me take the birther thing for a second — what Mitt Romney did the other day, people say, ‘You ought to relax, you ought to be a little bit lighter’. So he tells a joke. Now, it tends to be a joke that serves him in a totally different way that you’re calculating. It reminds everybody in Michigan that he was born in Michigan.”

But Matthews wouldn’t back down from his premise. (More)

Why Paul Ryan represents a big gamble for Romney

This is more that a gamble, it puts the issue of Medicare and cutting benefits into play.  Both areas that gutless progressives refuse to deal with while kicking these issues down the road.

Team Obama with PAC money will go after Paul Ryan with confusing rhetoric that may very well turn the senior vote toward Obama. 

Paul Ryan tells Obama on no uncertain terms Obama Care is smoke and mirrors filled with gimmicks at the so called “Health Care Summit” of course Obama paid no attention.

I believe Paul Ryan is a great man, destined for great things would he not have made a better Treasury Secretary?

Congressman Paul Ryan called Obama out on this financial charade during the so-called Health Care Summit.   Now the CBO has come out and hit Obama over the head with a 2X4. Not to worry, that’s the only safe place to hit him without the possibility of hurting him.

The history of containing health care costs through top down wage and price controls, without significantly harming health care quality, is abysmal. If these Medicare bundling payments don’t reduce spending, the only way Obamacare can meet its Medicare cut targets is through either massively cutting doctor reimbursements, making it impossible for seniors to get care, or Draconian rationing.

Late last year, the Obama administration was forced to abandon one of the gimmicks it used to make it appear that Obamacare would reduce the deficit, the CLASS Act. Scheduled to reduce the debt by $70 billion over ten years, the CLASS Act’s failure alone erased more than half of Obamacare’s claimed $120 billion in total deficit reduction.

With all of the discussion surrounding “entitlement programs” specifically targeting Social Security and Medicare I sometimes certain that my head will explode.  The fact is that Social Security and Medicare are NOT entitlement programs.

These programs are programs that we have all paid into.  The fact is that the government has raided Social Security to the tune of more than 2.5 trillion dollars.  The approximately $2.5 trillion in surplus revenue, generated by the 1983 payroll tax hike, rightly belongs to the Social Security trust fund and to American workers who paid the extra taxes.  But the money is all gone – “borrowed” or “stolen” by the federal government and spent for general government operations.  None of the money was saved or invested in anything, so the trust fund contains no real economic assets with which to supplement the payroll tax which will become inadequate to pay full benefits after 2015.

Then we might want to consider this from the President of The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas:

According to Richard Fisher, Social Security and Medicare currently have unfunded liabilities of $104 trillion. No, that is not a typo.
“but they largely ignore the severity of the broader problem: accumulated entitlement debt over the infinite horizon. According to our calculations at the Dallas Fed, that unfunded debt of Social Security and Medicare combined has now reached $104 trillion—trillion with a ‘T’—in discounted present value.”

Obama’s failed debt ceiling gamble

Amid disturbing signs that the US recovery has stalled, President Barack Obama took a huge gamble in his approach to the debt-ceiling talks last week. Believing he had an understanding with John Boehner, leader of the Republicans in the House of Representatives, he declared he wanted a $4,000bn “grand bargain” on the budget. Barely a day later, Mr Boehner said the deal was off. By Sunday evening, with talks about to resume at the White House, the president’s gambit appeared to have failed.

The weak economy makes a budget breakthrough all the more urgent. Jobs figures released on Friday were shockingly bad. They show that the US unemployment rate has risen again, to 9.2 per cent. In June, net job creation all but stopped.

Even if uncertainty over the fiscal outlook is not the main reason for the setback, it certainly is not helping.Quite what Mr Obama was thinking – and where things go from here – is unclear. Was his intervention a tactical feint, to weaken his Republican opponents? Was it a sudden conversion to the case for fiscal consolidation? What did the president expect to achieve?
