Feds Take Lawsuit Against Swift Plant in Support of Islam!

by Christopher Logan
It’s not enough that the rudderless economic policies of the druids in the current administration have halted private sector job creation.
Now corporations still able to make a profit will be sued in the name of Allah to make sure Muslims get special treatment.
This must make Mr. Obama giddy. He shows he is all things Islam and the great Muslim appeaser, while destroying the those evil profits with idiotic law suits.
Would this be happening if Christians wanted time out to pray each day?
The obvious solution, don’t hire any Muslims!  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, I’m J.C.

Our pro-Islamic government is at it again, trying to shove Islam down our throats. My question to the non-Muslims in our government who support Islam is this. Do you have any concerns whatsoever, about your families future generations being forced to live under Islamic rule? Patting yourself on the back for being “tolerant”, does not make the the threat of Islam disappear. You are not Houdini, and this is not a magic show. Please think past the day you are in.

Swift plant sued over treatment of Muslim workers

OMAHA — Federal officials say a JBS Swift & Co. meatpacking plant should give Muslim employees prayer time and not retaliate against workers who ask to pray. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit Monday on behalf of more than 80 Somali Muslims.

Re-importation of pharmaceuticals and the use of online pharmacies are not good for America

Jim Campbell

Despite the U.S. House of Representatives taking the first step in passing a socialized health care system yesterday; pharmaceutical companies will now have a big target on their backs.  The current administration deplores profits.  In spite of the huge lobbying efforts and and $79.1 million dollar contribution by the pharmaceutical industry, probability is high that this administration will attempt to control drug prices. Failing that, they will consider importing them from the least expensive source. As I point out below this would be a major mistake and must never be allowed to happen.

With thirty-one years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, I’ve grown weary of the constant harangues from the ‘possibly well-meaning’, yet ill-informed, as they continue to demonize the Pharmaceutical Industry.

All links below are worth checking, many come from the DEA and the FDA.  Factually, price controls rarely work, having the opposite intended effect on the consumer. Yet we are constantly being told that it would save millions of dollars if the FDA and DEA allowed for the importation, as well as re-importation of pharmaceuticals.

So please allow me to set the record straight:

The current administration, as well as, any progressive administration must have targets to demonize. Currently it’s the Health Insurance Industry; frequently the Pharmaceutical Industry is in their sites.

Many of the illegal online pharmacies are based in foreign countries and promise that their prices are far less than those of American pharmacies. This is true. These companies can often offer up to 80% discounts on many prescription drugs in comparison to a local pharmacy. This is because online pharmacy overhead costs are much less expensive than the traditional brick-and-mortar pharmacy.

These illegal online pharmacies also promise a discreet and convenient way for the customer/patient to purchase medications. So discreet, in fact, that it really seems clandestine or underground. One of the most obvious results of online drug selling is for drug abusers and dealers to have access to a never-ending supply of dangerous prescription drugs. It is also a perfect venue for rogue drug companies to supply expired or counterfeit medications that could be hazardous to one’s health, or even fatal.

According to the US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Office of Diversion Control, buying drugs online may be illegal and dangerous. Federal law prohibits buying controlled substances such as narcotic pain relievers, sedatives, stimulants and anabolic steroids without a valid prescription from your doctor.

According to authorities, prescription is the key. It is the documentary proof of a real doctor-patient relationship, which by most state laws requires a physical examination.

Prescriptions written by “cyber doctors” relying on online questionnaires are not legitimate under the law.

Authorities assert that buying drugs online may not only be illegal, but also dangerous. The American Medical Association and state boards of medicine and pharmacy have all condemned the practice of cyber doctors issuing online prescriptions as unacceptable medical care.

Drugs delivered by rogue websites may be the wrong drugs, adulterated or expired, the wrong dosage strength, or have no dosage directions or warnings.

Buying controlled substances online without a valid prescription may be punishable by imprisonment under Federal law. Drugs that can be ordered online from rogue websites come from foreign countries. Already, this online drug vending and purchasing are illegal. It is a felony to import drugs into the United States and ship to a non-DEA registrant.

The inventors of the real drugs receive nothing from those illegal foreign sites and sales. That means eventually it could stifle all innovation since no one does this purely for the sake of humanity.

The only country that has actually developed ‘ important new drugs’ in the last 20 years is the US. That would change dramatically if all profits were squeezed out of that development process in which less than 1% of starting molecules ever make it to commercially available drugs.

The illegal sites also flaunt all rules regarding disclosure of side effects, off-label marketing etc. The re-importation question is essentially a means of cost control, basically telling a company what it can and cannot charge for it’s wares, in this case drugs.

Because Canada dictates what it will pay, and since it is the only payer, it can set the price at whatever it is willing to pay, thus reversing the normal marketplace practice.

Obama to Urge Oversight of Insurers’ Rate Increases

February 21, 2010
New York Times
Before anybody starts getting excited about price fixing on the part of the Federal Government, can you name a time in history when it has worked?  Once again, they think we are fools. By capping prices on how much insurers can charge for their product, it’s this administration’s plan to ultimately drive them out of business. According to the August 25, 2009 issue of U.S. News and Word Report, the industry operates on margins, yes that’s right “profits” of 3.5% Note further down in the article they specifically target Anthem Health as a “for-profit” (progressive/socialist translation) evil company.  Nobody wants their health insurance premiums to increase.

The fact of the matter is that government intrusion in health care, from the beginning, has resulted in increased costs. See The Failed Promises of Government Funded Health Care With the advent of Medicare and Medicaid put in play by the Johnson administration in 1965 health care cost have increased disproportionately.  The government got involved, under paid physicians, hospitals, services, with resultant cost shifting to those with private insurance.  And they wonder why premiums had to rise?  There are of course other issues, increased longevity, new life saving treatments. Cost shifting by government ineptness, fraud, waste and abuse are the major culprits.

Finally, from the body of the text, the bill would create a new Health Insurance Rate Authority, made up of health industry experts (meaning czars) that would issue an annual report setting the parameters for reasonable rate increases based on conditions in the market. That of course means government bureaucrats with more fraud waste and abuse.
In closing let us not forget the current administration targeting the oil industry in this country and demonizing them  for excess and “windfall profits” (a progressive/socialist term) This term has always cracked me up, think of it, it’s an oxymoron. It presupposes that profit is inherently evil and that “excess profits” are even worse.     The fact is that on the entire  industry has profits, (margins) of 8% according to US News and World Report. When progressives target and blame success as evil they are depending upon you  not to understand the difference between  quarterly  revenue which represents what comes in but doesn’t figure in the costs, which are the profits.   Would it not be a great idea to only elect people to represent us that have worked in the private sector, created jobs and understand basic economics?  The current crew would fail on the first two suggestions but are well versed in economics taught by Karl Marx. Random thought while observing dumb and dumber attempt to ruin our lives and future,J.C.

WASHINGTON — President Obama will propose on Monday giving the federal government new power to block excessive rate increases by health insurance companies, as he rolls out comprehensive legislation to revamp the nation’s health care system, White House officials said Sunday.

The president’s legislation aims to bridge differences between the bills adopted by the House and Senate late last year, and to frame his debate with Republicans over health policy at a televised meeting on Thursday.

Is there no end to the arrogance and outright stupidity of this administration?

By focusing on the effort to tighten regulation of insurance costs, a new element not included in either the House or Senate bills, Mr. Obama is seizing on outrage over recent premium increases of up to 39 percent announced by Anthem Blue Cross of California and moving to portray the Democrats’ health overhaul as a way to protect Americans from profiteering insurers.

Congressional Republicans have long denounced the Democrats’ legislation as a “government takeover” of health care. And while they are likely to resist any expansion of federal authority over existing state regulators, they will face a tough balancing act at the meeting with the president to avoid appearing as if they are willing to allow steep premium increases like those by Anthem.

Republican leaders had not formally accepted the president’s invitation to the meeting. But the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, said on Sunday that he would attend. “I intend to be there, and my members will be there and ready to participate,” Mr. McConnell said on Fox News.
