Scott Brown Writes Ticket for GOP Defeat Does He?

Enough for the hysteria of the hard right.

Polls show that Scott Brown is a heavy favorite to win John “reporting for duty with the Purple Heart I received for a self inflicted gunshot wound so I could get and early out and become a war protestor Kerry’s senate seat.

Would you rather a Democrat won instead?

The assault weapons ban is DOA, it will not make it through the House of Representatives.  Remember 2014 all members on both sides of the aisle are up for election.

Scott Brown, Republican former senator from Massachusetts, is showing the exactly wrong/incorrect way to do it. Scott Brown is writing the ticket to guarantee Republican defeat, based on what we know. I’m not gonna repeat the whole first hour. I’m not gonna repeat any of it.

I realize some of you low-information voters are just now getting up. (laughing) What am I talking about? They’re not even listening here! Never mind. Sorry, folks. Here’s the Scott Brown news: “Scott Brown of Massachusetts on Wednesday became the first sitting Republican senator to voice support for a federal assault weapons ban after the Newtown, Conn., shootings. Brown failed to win re-election in November, however, and won’t be in Congress to vote on gun legislation.” ( more below including Rush Limbaugh’s take)

Why are gutless spineless Republicans, Rubio, Boehner, McCain and Christy appopleptic about Michele Bachmann’s statements about U.S. Connections with the Muslim Brotherhood?

I dare say Congresswoman Bachmann knows from where she speaks. As a representative in Minnesota who’s district is next to “Little Somalia,” It would make serious sense for the senators listed and ripping on Michelle Bachmann to take the time to study the cult and its infiltration within virtually all levels of our government.

Isn’t it rather odd that retired Col. Allen West, U.S. Congressman who knows more about Islam and Sharia than any person in Congress backs Michelle Bachmann unequivocally?

WTF is wrong with these guys?  Have they not read the undercover investigation relayed in the book the Muslim Mafia?  Perhaps their offices should be carpet bombed with copies.

UPDATE: Prominent Republicans Join McCain in Denouncing Bachmann’s Witch-Hunt

Michele Bachmann and her colleagues are finding themselves increasingly isolated within their own party in their McCarthyite witch-hunt to root out Muslim Brotherhood operatives in the federal government. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) yesterday was the first fellow republican to condemn the unfounded attacks on Huma Abedin and other American Muslim public servants.

Several key republican figures joined Sen. McCain in his condemnation today, including Speaker of the house John Boehner and Senators Marco Rubio and Scott Brown. Here is an account of their statements:

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) when asked whether he shares the concerns expressed in Representative Bachmann’s letters, called the allegations “dangerous,” but stopped short of criticizing Bachmann directly.

BOEHNER: “I haven’t seen the letter, but — I don’t know Huma, but from everything I do know of her, she has a sterling character. And I think accusations like this being thrown around are pretty dangerous.”Q: “Would you consider taking her off the Intelligence Committee? Congresswoman Bachmann?”

BOEHNER: “I don’t know that that’s related at all.”

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) spoke out against the attacks on NPR’s Diane Rehm show. Rubio was asked by a caller if he would join Republican Sen. John McCain’s strong condemnation of the anti-Muslim witch hunt on the Senate floor yesterday.

• Scrapping a planned levy on large banks and hedge funds that was supposed to pay for potential costs incurred by the bill.

Olympia Snowe (R., Maine)

Sens. Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Olympia Snowe of Maine both said they would vote for the measure when Democrats bring it to a vote, which could happen as soon as this week. Democrats and administration officials believe this gives them the necessary backing to overcome a potential filibuster after weeks of uncertainty and unexpected pitfalls.

The Tea Party represents no threat to the Republican Party, just a threat to the good ole boys who are in power and fear losing it. It’s a wake call they must begin to understand. Tea Party candidates will gladly restore our country to it’s international prominence, while cutting taxes across the board, cutting a vast array of useless make work programs, create real jobs by putting forth a sane economic policy that will allow business to once again make plans for expanding with resultant new  job creation. One thing certain, when they take back the House and Senate, Obama Health Care denial will be defunded. In 2013 it will be completely repealed.  Random thoughts while observing the passing parade. In the Kentucky Senate primary, the weakness of the party’s national leadership and the double-edged nature of the tea party movement were revealed in full measure as the candidate tapped by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the father of the modern Kentucky GOP, couldn’t come within 20 points of Rand Paul, a libertarian-leaning political outsider who won’t even commit to supporting McConnell for leader.

Political history and the mood of the electorate would seem to indicate Democrats are on their way to significant losses this fall. But they may have some help mitigating the damage from an unwitting ally — the Republicans.

And while Paul’s romp speaks to the energy GOP candidates can derive from tapping into the tea party movement, the quickness with which Democrats pounced on the GOP nominee’s positions on, for example, eliminating the Department of Education and ending farm subsidies illustrates the political risk Republicans take in nominating ideological purists.
