Democrats Push for Redskins to Change Name

Ah yes in deed, as the liberal left continues with their “Alice in Wonderland,” adherence  to political correctness I was caught off guard by seeing a Republican, (Tom Cole R-OK) on the list.

I phoned his office to find out why.  His assistant said the bill was put in front of him and as a Native-American, he signed it, but would do nothing more.

That being said, Democrats who have time on their hands for this type of Political Correctness are clearly not doing the work of their constituents , ergo, the taxpayer is receiving “Taxation without Representation.

We foolishly elected them we must fire them.

The Washington Redskins name-change controversy just won’t go away.

Two weeks after Dan Snyder, the owner of the Redskins, said he will never change the team’s name as long as he owns the franchise, 10 members of Congress sent letters urging a name change. The letters went to Snyder, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Redskins sponsor FedEx and the other 31 NFL franchises.

“Native Americans throughout the country consider the ‘R-word’ a racial, derogatory slur akin to the ‘N-word’ among African Americans or the ‘W-word’ among Latinos,” the letter said.

“Such offensive epithets would no doubt draw wide-spread disapproval among the NFL’s fan base. Yet the national coverage of Washington’s NFL football team profits from a term that is equally disparaging to Native Americans.”

“In this day and age, it is imperative that you uphold your moral responsibility to disavow the usage of racial slurs. The usage of the “R-word” is especially harmful to Native American youth, tending to lower their sense of dignity and self-esteem. It also diminishes feelings of community worth among the Native American tribes and dampens the aspirations of their people.”

The Washington Post released the names of the 10 members of Congress involved: Eni F.H. Faleomavaega (D-American Samoa), Tom Cole (R-Okla.), Betty McCollum (D-Minn.), Raul M. Grijalva (D-Ariz.), Gwen Moore (D-Wis.), Michael M. Honda (D-Calif.), Donna M. Christensen (D-Virgin Islands), Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) and Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-District of Columbia).

There has been no reaction from the Redskins or any of the other people to receive the letter. On May 1, a similar proposal was made by D.C. Councilman David Grosso, asking the team to change its name to Redtails to honor the Tuskegee Airmen. Snyder reacted on May 10 by saying the team would never change its name.

Should the Redskins change their name?  Hell no unless members of congress will be called Criminals.

Mr. Lazarus has done an excellent gathering the facts between the administration of President George W. Bush and that of Obama. The video below contains a great spoof with Jack Web giving the “Chosen One” a reality check.

Why President George W. Bush is continually demonized by the left is simple; when one belongs to a party with no significant accomplishment and failed programs they do what they always do, blame somebody or something else.

Said another way, have you ever heard a member of the progressive movement admit that they were wrong?  Take a moment to read a review or pick up the book, “Decision Points” by George W. Bush.  When he screwed up he laid it out and made no excuses.

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009; it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time:

The Occupy Wall Street movement is represented by paid losers with tracks back to ACORN, who use capitalism to attempt to achieve their socialist goals and utopia.  They are clueless and represent no threat no danger.  They are to be laughed at.

That being said what else is the media for? Few with a room temperature I.Q. pay them any mind.  The media marches to Obama’s drum, he tells them Muslims are good and Islam isn’t to be associated with terror, they have their talking points and off they go.  Perhaps they need a taste of this cult of peace and tolerance to get the message.  Scratch that, few of them could see the connection.

The media has become so preoccupied with a leftist movement of radical anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-capitalist, socialist demagogues akin to the loser section at Woodstock, that the threat of radical Islam is being completely ignored by Americans.

The Occupy Movement’s mix of clueless aspirants used by wealthy Hollywood and union elites, along with your average excrementing hippies whose lives revolve around protesting everything that subsidizes their protests, have done nothing but provide disruptive entertainment for Americans. Americans are occupied by a movement of useful idiots whose actions serve only to prove the left is immoral and incorrupt, and this entertainment poses a dire threat to the nation’s security: We Americans are not focusing on Islam.

Starr Parker is an incredible woman. She is the founder and president of CURE, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a 501c3 think tank which explores and promotes market based public policy to fight poverty, as well as author of the newly revised Uncle Sam’s Plantation: How Big Government Enslaves America’s Poor and What We Can do About It.

Please listen to her and Paul Ryan, they both come from divergent roots but certainly know what ales America and have come up with serious propositions to turn our country in the right direction once again.

Last week, one of the Republican Party’s young stars, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc), spoke at the Heritage Foundation and gave forth his vision of America and what we need to do today to restore our vitality.

Listening to Ryan, I’m reminded of the late, great Congressman Jack Kemp, for whom he once worked. He talks about America as an “opportunity” society, driven by the ideals of individual freedom, limited government, traditional values, and free enterprise.

To sum up his working hypotheses: These are the values that made America great. Our economic machine is sputtering today as result of departure from these values. Today’s task is to restore them and get America growing again, which will benefit everyone.

Joe Biden is one of many who will not be missed, well maybe his oratory display of ignorance was good for a laugh. In the you tube below it shows how he attempted to sell class warfare to a group of 4th graders. 

I wonder what he will be saying in black schools about the racist evil whitey?  Socialist’s and Progressives fail to understand that wealth is not a zero sum game.  Though they are horrified by the concept of wealth, their view of it is that it’s like a pie, if somebody has a bigger piece than you he has taken from you. 

This was not one of Biden’s typical gaffes it was a cold calculated lie attempting to gin up class warfare among 4th graders.  Hey Joe, they don’t vote!

Nothing could be further from the truth.  Perhaps these clueless folks have never given a thought to the amount of jobs created, wealth created, and taxes generated by the late Steve Jobs and Bill Gates to name just two.

Vice President Joe Biden has decided fourth grade children need a lesson in patriotism. Apparently the best way to carry out Biden’s radical view of patriotism is with some good old-fashioned Marxist indoctrination in class warfare so children can fight those evil rich taxpayers.

Three years-ago, President Obama could walk on water and raise a dying economy, but lately the left has been nailing their Messiah to the cross, declaring  Obama “caved on the debt ceiling” and compromised to Republican policies. The Left is angry with Mr. Obama. The Anointed One failed to change America into his promised John Rawls-style state of leftist social equality and that wealth-spreading social justice.

Nevertheless, conservatives should not assume the left will abandon its Anointed One. After all, the left wants expanding government and radical collective policies, so, while they may hurl Obama under the bus from time-to-time, the left will not run him over.
